I drew a sick tails idea, what if Miles tails instead of flying were burning to aid with the cool red trenchcoat and gun combo... i based it after an AI generation but i think the result came out really well.

I love hate that scrambled arc, on one hand, really shows why eggman is someone you don’t fuck with. On the other, unless it’s really sonic, literally no other character can really give him some real pushback or defeats. Not just this but the franchise in general. Makes a lot of characters kinda look like shit to later prop up sonic as the only guy to really defeat him a lot of the time. More characters shiuod be able to fight him and get some victories too if encountered imo

I know that becomes a thing at one point, especially in IDW, but it feels that way in this comic. My main issue with the stalemate in IDW is it never feels earned. It's fine when they let Eggman go in Boom since he's mostly just a nuisance, but IDW Eggman has an astronomical bodycount, to the point where random civilians would put a drill wisp through his head. Making Sonic have an arbitrary no kill policy to avoid this is a massively unsatisfying way to keep Eggman alive, especially when Game, Archie, and even Movie Sonic are totally fine with killing when necessary.
Instead, I want to see Eggman doing something clever to get away, only for Sonic and friends to counter it, but not enough that he still doesn't get away. Eggman's supposed to be a survivor, and having Sonic just let him go robs us of cool villain gloating when he gets away properly

Game question, but what's the point of the Super peel-out when you have the Spin-Dash? It does the same except Spin-Dash allow you to destroy enemies at the same time when launched.

I know these are the archie central threads and may sound bias but lol at the idw threads. Literally every time I go there's always some shit flinging, the always idw is gonna die soon posts, etc. It's tiresome and always a turn off from trying to ever have any real discussions in those.

That being said, the number of anons that join the Archie threads are almost twice as much as the Unofficial threads were. Not that many people frequently posted in the Unofficial threads but we're averaging 50 posters a thread and aside from some obvious shitposting which can mostly be attributed to two people, it's been very positive. We enjoy the good, call out the bad, and have fun with the crazy stuff. I'm all for poking fun at stuff I don't like but I don't want to get angry or stay focused on it.
I know IDW isn't generating a lot of genuine interest but I try to be neutral at worst. It's a shame that there are so many that stay in those IDW threads and only talk shit about everything. And no matter how much some hate IDW, they hate Archie more and you can tell they aren't following our threads. There's an acquired appreciation when someone actually reads the comics. But there are those that will never give it a chance. And there are also those that have tried Archie and didn't like it.

I didn't even realize how much the Super Genesis Wave messes things up. For Sonic, it not only removes the Archie stuff but completely game-ifies things to the point it's called Sonic's World. And for Mega Man, once again goes into the future which makes going back to the present after the crossover feel like a regression and spoils how things end. I've read this event before but now I'm noticing more issues with it.

Additional fingerprinting. Cloudflare assigns an extra ID for the user and saves it in a cookie. Many people browse in incognito mode or with cookies disabled, so the cloudflare ID does not show up when posting.

As far as Sonic and Amy goes no one even gets into how there are fundamentally three Amy Roses and the only reason she had so much static with western audiences is how bad Adventure and Adventure 2's voice direction were and Sega inexplicably doubling down on character traits she was never intended to have so strongly because Sega is run by crazy people.
You've got classic-adventure Amy where she's a girl with a crush inspired by Sonic to have her own adventures who gives him shit and, while not above quid pro quo when doing him a favor, is mostly just a nice person who's sincere enough to talk Shadow down from supervillainy.
You've got x-heroes-game boy Amy who's like Akane Tendo without the charm and nuance, who spends her time literally chasing Sonic with a mallet and planning marriage traps. This is the version games-only people tend to fixate on despite largely being a reaction to how Sonic X characterized her.
Then you've got modern-boom-frontiers Amy who, frankly, has some Sally elements worked in: she's willing to give Sonic crap again and has goals and desires outside of literally chasing him. This version doesn't really exist in Japan since they changed her Frontiers story to be about bridal training because idk, i dont fucking know.

Knuxouge seems to be a ship that works on paper and in shipping art but not so much given how both characters are. Knuckles is stuck on Angel Island and Rouge is doing whatever everywhere else, occasionally visiting and then leaving. One of them needs to change their habits or it's one of those relationships where if you focused on one of them you wouldn't see the other that much. Freeing Knuckles from Angel Island or having Rouge stay there with him would fix that. Or maybe people like it that they stay separated for long periods of time.
And then there's Julie-Su. I'll give Penders credit for making Angel Island into a place with all sorts of people for Knuckles to interact with. And then he plops in a girl for Knuckles to eventually plap. Funny thing is that Julie-Su barely interacted with Knuckles during Penders' run and Ian had them being a couple more often.

They might just tease Salicole as a misdirection for the readers, but what I actually fear would be a knee-jerk reactions from some fans that might really be what sour it all.
Could even result in the Forever team to actually change to Salicole to stick it up to those who might over-react to it and where everyone blame the other side.
Now imagining asf is gonna do a thing similar with sally and khan but her with Nicole. Preboot sally coming out as bi and being with nicole for a while before going to sonic, which if does happen would be terrible.. Also forgot shard was in the comic so shard gonna learn the chick he likes is a carpet muncher. Maybe shard will be gay for silver next.
