Sonouge is an interesting pairing, since they're pretty much an opposite sex mirror of one another (competent, live by their own morals disregarding society's rules, highly emotionally intelligent, enjoy flirting with Knuckles and human women, are the only living people Shadow actually respects). I could certainly see them as FWB but I'm not sure what a relationship between them would look like.

Yeah, there's a lot of interest in Shadow now, but I'd really love to see a more unique take on Black Doom than generic evil floaty guy with the voice of the villain from Inspector Gadget. I still think there's a lot more that could be done with the Black Comet being Black Doom's true body, and Black Doom being the champion of his planet's Dark Gaia equivalent. We saw in Unleashed what happens when a Light Gaia's champion prevails (planet gets reformed, everything's back to normal), but if Dark Gaia had a champion that won, I could see the planet exploding completely, with that champion merging with a chunk of the planet that became a black comet as their reward

Sidewinder is a major fave of mine now since he used his past work as an economics professor/business man to organise it effectively and that his teleporting gimmick was essentially a guarantee that his team would stay out of jail both pragmatically keeping their loyalty and just being in their interests. The fact he also genuinely mourns Death Adder and also treats his employee's as friends plus rewards specifically when warranted but also isn't a pushover and gives warranted punishment makes him feel legit in a way that Viper/Dixon sems delibrately to fall short of and turn the direction of the group in failed directions to his sleazy benefit above theirs. To be fair another part of it is that Guardians of the Galaxy vol 3 really made me love bastard villains that also read as abusive parents in a metaphorical and literal sense, they are extremely entertaining in how nasty they can be or just being easy to hate villains in a compelling fashion. Black Doom does work great as a sort of third factor that throws the setting into disarray for a bit and lets other characters take focus, like how I have things planned his arrival causes Sonic to take a massive backseat and do the space adventures stuff from Archie but tweaked so everyone is in a worse place emotionally but also stand on their own a bit. well this isn't the actual canon Intellegencia since it's one I've considered for a specific story based on villains who've not been on the team and I like for one of the earliest classic Marvel runs I ever read solely cause of my love of Godzilla.. The official one consists of The Leader, MODOK, Red Ghost, Mad Thinker, Wizard and Klaw. As someone that also makes a Sonic fancomic, I like to keep my criticisms to cheeky comments but I have said before first storytiming it that I didn't care for the comic. A lot of that is because of the writing. I'll give them props for working on the comic for so long and putting out nearly 300 pages but the writing does present a lot of barriers to various kinds of readers. But if that's how they want to tell their story regardless of how others feel then that's fine. But if they were willing to change to improve the comic and bring in more interest then there are many ways to do it.
