If Eggman didn't anticipate the idea that Sonic's memories from getting kidnapped by Amy might leak in to alter the clone's mind, then it could very much fuck things up. The way Copy-Sonic behave, though, it seems like he is already fully operational and following, Amy's directives, which indicate to me that this more a case of the Robot following the order of "behave like Sonic as if he had never been kidnapped". In other words, it is acting. So, ironically enough, unlike Metal, he actually know he is not the real Sonic.

Having official artists taking commission works for fan-arts is a weird line to see being crossed, for me. How recent of a development is that? I guess it's not so different than going to a con and ask artists to make a drawing on your comic, but at least there, it's done under the gist of them officially representing Sega's IP.
