It’s Princess Sally in her very own adventure! There’s action, danger, and maybe even… rrrrromance! She’s on a secret mission with a new team to covertly sabotage the evil Robotnik’s latest scheme and maybe even bring him to justice. But what about the charismatic, handsome, extremely talented, fearless, amazing, too cool, witty, better-than-Sonic, and nice smelling Geoffrey St. John? Can he be trusted? Will Sally and her team succeed? Or is this the end for her? Let’s find out!
Question: To counter today’s comics, what is your favorite Sonic miniseries? It can be from any publisher.
>>139945046 >you remind me of someone i know But that person is nowhere near as cool as Geoffrey! >>139945007 >So, TL;DR, Sally's spinoff book is ruined by Penders shilling his Poochie OC. That about right? And apparently it sold so poorly Penders thought nobody liked Sally and decided to kill her off.
>>139945123 Atta boy, Geoffrey! You can never trust another living person sitting at a camp and loudly talking about Sally! >>139945076 Now she knows Sally's preferences.
>>139945085 >And apparently it sold so poorly Penders thought nobody liked Sally and decided to kill her off. This dude's delusional arrogance keeps finding ways to reach new depths. The thing sold poorly because people picked up the mini to read about Princess Sally, not some new guy.
>>139945153 Geez, Hamlin! Calm down and give best boy a break! It's your fault for being easily attackable! >>139945092 F >>139945116 I think he's British because of the whole secret service "faithful" to the crown thing.
>>139945007 >Sally's spinoff book is ruined by Penders shilling his Poochie OC I mean, even without him, I doubt most people were clamoring for more Sally after this. The main story is just the same as the main book, but now with even less Sonic.
>>139945191 ... I fucking hate that Hamlin of all people is coming off as the reasonable one right now. And with hindsight, it turns out it was 100% about Geoffrey being untrustworthy.
>>139945195 I recall Ian saying he didn't want to use him because he's so damn ugly and he didn't want kids asking why he and Mighty looked nothing alike.
>>139945321 That was easy... too easy... >>139945221 >geoffrey watches you fap to him >>139945238 Mawhinney's style. Probably could be considered the most influential Sonic artist for Archie for a while.
>>139945371 Wait, where's Cub-bot? >>139945264 >And it'll be easy to indulge in those preferences due to holograms. There's even the story where she's in Sally's body and develops a taste... for hedgehogs.
>>139945391 Yeah Sally, you used up all your grenades and you have no more? So much for being prepared! >>139945329 But Sonic and Bunnie aren't in this comic, luv!
>>139945321 >>139945371 Y'know, Sally seems to be doing just fine with just her and Nicole. I guess the others are glorified meatshields. Which I guess would explain why Hamlin's so butthurt later.
>>139945425 >>139945464 I'm not complaining, but it is really damn silly that Sally was a bit of a damsel for most of the series so far, and now she's suddenly cleaning the fuck up. Guess that mall incident really made her realize she wanted to be more like her SatAM counterpart.
>>139945707 Now for issue 2! >>139945679 I have questions about mobian noses, especially the big noses. They seem to get in the way and should be broken pretty easily.
>>139945644 >What is this, the opening to Get Smart? It would appear so, yes.
>It's also weird that this important mission is her and a bunch of newbies. Good point. These are supposed to be remote, but critical Robotnik facilities, so shouldn't they have the big guns for this? At least take Bunnie for additional muscle.
>>139945795 Man, the coloring on this page has some mistakes! I hope someone was fired for this blunder! >>139945711 Using his best friend's methods at raising kids.
>>139945762 >At least take Bunnie for additional muscle. Cant. Geoffry is already over shadowing Sally, the cyborg southern belle would just make her even more irrelevant.
>>139945760 It's a good thing Penders remembered to describe Dylan, Arlo and Penelope's personalities in the intro, because I sure as fuck wouldn't know it from reading the story proper. The pig at least does shit to stand out.
>>139945864 Wouldn't it be funny if a bullet went through Hamlin's head AND Geoffrey's head at the same time? Think Porky from Tails gets trolled. And then the bullet just goes careening off the page and hits Penders too.
>>139945821 >Hamlin--took an immediate and profound dislike to him... Mirroring the attitude of the audience, who are all wondering why this Princess Sally miniseries is focusing so much on him instead of the title character they pick up the book for.
>>139945191 it's impressive how much of a smarmy asshole Geoffrey looks and acts right of the bat, what a shit, anyone who makes Hamlin right is doing something wrong
>>139945898 He's off in the future and in the IDW Zone weakening what would otherwise be a perfectly serviceable Halloween special with his executive mandated appearance in fucking everything apparently.
>>139945908 >miniseries is focusing so much on him instead of the title character they pick up the book for. same thing is gonna happen to Tails and Knuckles
>>139944933 >miniseries Do individual Sonic Universe arcs count? If so, then probably either of the Eggman (Eggman's Dozen & Poached) or Blaze (Team Tresure Tange/Pirate Plunder Panic)-related ones.
>>139945965 Armadillo down! Armadillo down! >>139945908 Because Geoffrey is just that cool! But you're right. This Prince Sally mini should be more about the person it's named after. So it should've been renamed to Geoffrey St. John!
>>139946040 it's crazy how even Ian Flynn had Geoffrey job out a bunch of characters, like he really tried to salvage his character but I still had disbelief at that and still disliked the skunk
>>139946091 Nah, he was cool under Flynn. Besides, there weren't that many characters that could give Naugus legitimacy or side with him despite him making everything better for everyone.
>>139946124 it was when he had the most depth and substance, plus actually became a complex character but I still disliked him honestly but that's more so me then the writers fault
>>139946152 in his mind it's probably taking something he thinks is total dog shit and making it into the best thing ever, though he also mistreats his robots when they don't meet expectations so I dunno
>>139946290 I feel like it comes from a dumb fear of characters doing shit without him as you can't praise sonic if anyone else can do things fine wtihout him.
>>139946274 lmao yeah that's true, Harvey who was great as someone who was just having to deal with all that like when he advised Max not to trust two guys who become some of Mobius's greatest villains but puts his faith into a magic piss puddle
>>139946274 Geoffrey is supposed to be powerful for some reason even though he has no unique skills. He took on Sally, Bunnie, Antoine, Amy, and Tails all at once and didn't have a scratch on him. Like, what the fuck?
>>139944933 At least her nose is colored in this time! >Question The Knuckles miniseries. It's objectively not the best, but it's the start of his own ongoing adventures. >>139944982 >Penders Conductor Nooooo! >>139944984 The Konductor likes messing up my thread archives >>139945085 >But that person is nowhere near as cool as Geoffrey! Frankly they should've killed off Sonic and made Geoffrey the main character!
>>139946439 >Ivo It really does bug me that they later start calling him Julian later.
>I'm not sure if I'm supposed to still be surprised. Same. Weird that the comic plays it up like a reveal, but Robotnik is the only major villain in the book so far. Nagus hasn't been introduced yet, so who the hell else would it be?
>>139945116 He's English, like James Bond, who is sometimes played by an Australian. So who knows! >>139945123 Plap plap it's Hamlin! I hate him so much >>139945371 He does seem to stare at her butt a lot >>139945391 lmao
>>139946538 >tfw no sally double of my own >>139946528 >Same. Weird that the comic plays it up like a reveal, but Robotnik is the only major villain in the book so far. Nagus hasn't been introduced yet, so who the hell else would it be? That and we've already had this reveal before.
Holy hell FINALLY I'm caught up with these. Okay-ish timing too since this seems to be the transitional period between the loony cartoony stuff and the beginning of Penders sticking his nose into everything. I've tried going through this series myself like 3 times but I've always given up, so hopefully riffing on it with fellow anons will be what helps me get to the end this time. Pardon for the incoming multi-post quoting. >>139945123 Always find it amusing seeing how early western Sonic media would depict most other mobians looking more like 80s cartoon animals. That armadillo character would look very jarring next to Mighty. >>139945391 Those badniks look like if the Wily Machine from Mega Man 3 laid eggs. >>139945464 And it's here that I'm REALLY starting to notice that like every sentence has at least one bolded word here, and I've heard this trait gets really annoying as Penders continues writing the issues. >>139945558 >If you can't trust him after that, you might as well not trust me, either! Oh dear God the foreshadowing. >>139945676 This whole thing with body doubles and clones just makes me wonder what a Sonic game written by Hideo Kojima would be like. >>139946178 What?! Paint ability, you say?! >>139946587 You can tell that the old issues' influence is completely stamped out because the Swatbots communicate like actual robots now.
>>139946668 Gasp! >>139946625 >Pardon for the incoming multi-post quoting. It's fine. Things are pretty relaxed in these threads... aside from the occasional shitfling.
>>139946610 >Mr. Useless Sigh. Once again, Hamlin isn't wrong. For a supposed cool badass, Geoffrey hasn't been contributing much to this op. Sally/Fake Sally, despite being overshadowed narratively, has been pull most of the weight here.
>>139946664 it's impressive how much of a crap character he is and doesn't even get salvaged, I kinda love that Flynn doubles down on him just being an awful person and petty loser
>>139946719 >hamlin says he's going to pound geoffrey into the pavement while putting him in a mating press Truly Geoffrey is the most irresistible character of them all. Bravo, Penders!
>>139946668 it's always the guy's obsessed or mentioning NTR stuff that are the worst, it's like that stuff slurps out any personality or likeability fromsomeone
>>139946687 >>139946741 Robotnik talking like a JRPG antagonist all of a sudden. Also I know like 5 other people have talked about it already but I honestly never liked how squished Tails's head looked in older western media, to say nothing of his deep fried color palette.
>>139946805 Robots are in the walls! >>139946769 I feel bad for that person. They must have a very pathetic existence that does nothing but hamper the lives of others.
>>139946805 I do love that roboticizing something already mechanicals just destroys it, makes me wonder what an inverse version, something that turns inorganic matter organic, would do to living things?
>>139946885 >Sally using Martial Arts I love how Sonic couldn't escape the 90s Karate craze. Funny enough, 90s, IMHO, would probably be the last decade Martial Art would have the aura of mystery to them.
>>139946991 >second panel Bullshit. This should've been Sally's plan. Y'know, this mini would honestly be pretty solid if not for the Geoffrey shilling. That single aspect drags it down hard.
>>139947036 >robotnik made a sally with a different color vest for some reason >didn't remember this and was fooled by the sally with the right color vest
>>139947084 Removing the title because this is over and now if you excuse me, I'm going to vomit. That's it for this but we're not truly off of Penders' Wild Ride! Tomorrow at 7pm EST we'll go back to Sonic.
>>139947126 WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK???!!!! THERE WAS LITERALY IF AT ALL NO ROMANTIC THING SIDES COMPLIMENTS. IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE ALSO SHES UNDERAGE HERE PRETTY SURE FUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCKKKK THIS
>three issues and the thread isn't close to bump limit I don't get it. I thought everyone loved Sally. Maybe it's all her fault. Geoffrey? No, he's perfect. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to think about what to do about this...
>>139947220 >you don't understand, my dear daughter, the golden goo of fate told me that you have to get sexually harassed by this skunk, break your heart fighting with sonic and then marry the guy who is into another girl and you have to do it now
>>139947155 Yeah even creepy shit aside it's super forced since they've been nothing but focused and professional together, it comes right out of no where and has bad consequences
>>139947126 And right here is where Penders officially loses any good will he might've had. I was giving his early stuff the benefit of the doubt, but then this shit happens. Goddammit.
>>139947155 >ALSO SHES UNDERAGE HERE PRETTY SURE This doesn't help. Fucking ew.
>>139947244 >If the Acorn family is to survive it must be tied to the strongest through blood Geoffrey is stronger than Sonic though. Everytime they've fought Geoffrey has dominated.
>>139945514 I was about to say he gets better as a character, but I've been on the ride so long I'm not entirely sure if it happened in any official work or unofficial.
>>139947279 It's even worse when he shows up again in issue 27 and it ends with Sally kissing him again just to make Sonic jealous. It's also in the last ride where a lot of people started to dislike Sally and Sonally too.
>>139947015 >>139947067 This plot doesn't make sense the more you think about it. If Robotnik wasn't monitoring the hideout at all times (and the fuck wasn't he?), then why was it necessary for Sally and the robot to switch places for so long? If the robot was programmed to turn on the others in the end, how did it not know it was activated too early?
>>139947341 It sucks since I love their relationship and Sally as a character but it's undeniable that both got done mad dirty by the bullshit the writers put them through, like they really cute together in the Goofy early issues and Flynn despite dragging his feet cause much realistic made them have the fun dynamic they had in Satam, sadly the damage was really done
>>139947334 >Why did penders think that was an okay thing to do? Serious answers only, right? It's because he's a bad person. I don't like to say that about creators, but his actions and writing speak for themselves.
>Why did mike agree to write that. Even wranglers aren't saints, nor are they always perfectly ration or intelligent. Not trying to shittalk the guy, but everyone makes mistakes. This was definitely a mistake.
>>139947566 I mean considering how reckless the protagonists are it shouldn't be hard. it's like, the duck fella from IDW, he just straight up traps and is ready to kill Sonic right away just by taking it seriously.
>>139947596 It's ok when it's with my self-insert Sonic. It's not ok when it's someone cucking my self-insert. Then I use ages as an excuse to be victimised.
>>139947623 I please expect you from now on to be this much of a baby whenever thirst poster is being an irl pedo compared to Geoffrey the fictional character
>>139947674 k? Irrelevant, here you're self-inserting as Sonic and only mad because Geoffrey is fucking Sally. "Muh ages" are just your retarded excuse when they don't matter anywhere else.
>>139947792 You being this butthurt and suddenly crying about ages makes it very much seem you're vicariously projecting. She wants the Skunk Cock. It's fine.
>>139947798 Reminder that mobian men are for human women. Especially in Soleanna.
For the record, I am genuinely annoyed that people give Elise shit despite objectively doing nothing wrong. I just think it's funny to portray her as being horny for hedgehogs. She would not be the first human in-universe or out to be so.
>>139947924 She's clearly impressed by and admiring him. Tells him to save his flattery for after the mission is over. She's impressed by his competency and the kiss is a payoff to how impressed she is by him. She don't gotta be blushing, she's a woman not a schoolgirl.
>>139945558 I like the smug Geoffrey in the last panel >>139945601 >NGL Geoffrey kinda thicc. I'm surprised he didn't wake up Sally with the sound of his thighs clapping together >>139945676 Bravo Penders! >>139946072 lmao >>139946152 It's about showing nature how things should be done >>139946315 Hey, leave some for the rest of us! >>139946347 I can't believe Geoffrey's working with Doctor Claw! >>139946439 >Mwahahahaha! You monster!
>>139946315 >middle of night >Geoffrey randomly carrying a sleeping Sally around and she's just letting him Don't ask what they were doing in that tent that got her so sleepy and fine with him touching her... it's a secret
>>139948018 She was probably wet this entire story while seeing what a gigachad Geoffrey is. Even told Hamlin to back off when he tried to imply Geoffrey isn't their hero.
Hey thirstposter, If you are here I want to suggest something. Idk if you have seen me doing this, but I've been suggested some things for the ride to cover and you help with that. Would you mind adding those thing to the mega for conductor to do if I tell you what to add?
Hey thirstposter, If you are here I want to suggest something. Stop being a pedo for the heckin underage characters. I don't care if you cope by headcanoning them as this age or that, in the comic they are heckin minors and I will report you to the police for being a kiddly-diddler if you keep larping as a gay over them.
>>139947126 >series had literally 0 romance up to this point outside of lighthearted jokes. >then this happens out of nowhere. I think I understand now why all the complaints about Penders.
>>139946581 He does have a nice butt! >>139946625 >Pardon for the incoming multi-post quoting. lmao, I do it all the time>>139946625 >every sentence has at least one bolded word here PENDERS loves BOLDING words at RANDOM to make HIS WRITING seem more DYNAMIC >>139946719 >GET OFF BEST BOY GEOFFREY! Yeah, I saw him first! >>139946741 >Realistic robot doubles Imagine the possibilities! >>139946906 He's having so much fun! >>139946991 >but remember that Antoine is a Freedom Fighter. So mean! >>139947126 Back off Sally he's mine! Thanks Konductor!
What I'm getting from this thread is, the comic was fine, mid at absolute worst, Geoffrey didn't actually overshadow anyone except maybe Hamlin, and you're all just salty about the kiss.
>>139947126 >Create a new pet character and make him basically the lead in a Princess Sally multi-part series >Have him kiss her at the end and make Sally fall in love with him at first kiss Classic Penders creating forced romantic drama for later. Sonic vs Geoffrey, welcome to his wild ride.
>>139947126 the CHAD Geoffrey this is actually a super based move and you'd all be clapping like seals if they did this with Sonic and some random girl character
>>139947233 >Horace Hawkins is asking Sally to be her boyfriend We're on to you Konductor! >>139947296 Hilariously they're supposed to be around the same age here, but Penders retconed Geoffrey to be older, so it's retroactively icky! >>139947334 Because he'd rather be writing Bond or Star Wars >>139947346 lmao >>139947596 Hey, Sonic and Knuckles are both 18.0001 years old in my sick fantasies! >>139947623 You could say there's a little of me in everyone! >>139948008 Nice! >>139948016 Elise is cute and has excellent taste >>139948131 Sure, happy to add any extras if you have the links >>139948165 You flirt! >>139948508 Aww thanks!
>>139949099 Elise is cute as fuck in the proper artstyle. And all the hedgies belong to her.
Reminder that Flynn absolutely had plans to introduce her into the Post-Genesis Wave continuity. Seriously, you can see the build up to it all over the place. Damn shame that never happened, because one way or another, it would've been fucking interesting.
>>139949250 You can just tell that would translate to 3D really nicely. I legitimately don't think anyone would've complained about the kiss if Elise didn't look like a Final Fantasy character. Yeah, they even went past the Soleanna Zone at one point
>>139949313 >You can just tell that would translate to 3D really nicely. I legitimately don't think anyone would've complained about the kiss if Elise didn't look like a Final Fantasy character. What a shame to waste those legitimately gorgeous cutscenes on something that looks completely out of place in this franchise. What honestly was the logic behind the humans being semi-realistic while keeping the mobians their cartoony selves? At least make the mobians semi-realistic too.
>Yeah, they even went past the Soleanna Zone at one point It was totally going to be a future arc! I hate that we'll never see it. Has anyone asked Flynn about that on Bumblekast?
>>139949405 Exactly! My understanding was they wanted it to look "next-gen," which at the time meant realistic. They actually had a more realistic fur texture for Sonic but dropped it fairly early on >It was totally going to be a future arc! It's a legitimately cool setting and you just know Flynn was dying to salvage stuff from 06. Not sure if anyone's asked him, but I think there's a text archive of all of Flynn's answers somewhere >>139949444 >He wanted Mephiles to be Shadow's recurring archenemy and set it up even before the reboot. Well that was what Mephiles was supposed to be originally, but like every idea from a game that doesn't go well for Sega, they completely scrapped it >>139949524 Infinite would've been nice but I can't exactly complain about a Sonknux wallpaper
>>139949405 >What honestly was the logic behind the humans being semi-realistic while keeping the mobians their cartoony selves? The overall logic behind that game's artstyle was "Sonic in our world" and the mobian characters did have a slight shift in proportions but were still out of place next to the humans. They didn't even have textured fur like in Prime.
>>139949566 >"next-gen," which at the time meant realistic. Still does, sadly.
>They actually had a more realistic fur texture for Sonic but dropped it fairly early on Probably because it looked kinda dumb.
>It's a legitimately cool setting and you just know Flynn was dying to salvage stuff from 06. Yep. Elise herself is the biggest waste of potential, and the comic would be perfect place to do her justice.
Seriously, she's a young ruler who cannot cry, ever, lest the apocalypse demon sealed in her body escape and destroy the planet. That practically writes itself.
>>139949536 Oh yeah love this picture a ton, Erazor Djinn's design gets so much cooler as a bird and Sheath gets to be more of a cutie then already, like how it also ties into the Babylonians weird genie in the first riders game
>>139949684 Eggman fucking around with princesses and Sonic having to save them is one thing I actually don't mind Sonic taking from Mario. Makes for fun light hearted adventures in fantastical places.
>>139949645 She looks super cute here, actually really like mobifying the human characters, makes me curious how Merlina or some of the X cast would look like Chris's milfy mum
>>139949670 Here's the fur texture they were testing out, but abandoned for some reason >>139949684 The dating pool for dictator-scientists is probably pretty small >>139949704 >Still does, sadly. Yeah, but back then it was even worse. Every shooter had to be boring and brown because that's more "realistic" >Probably because it looked kinda dumb. It's a bit too shiny, but I kinda like it >Yep. Elise herself is the biggest waste of potential, and the comic would be perfect place to do her justice. That's what was great about Archie, every abandoned and poorly executed concept could be rewritten and integrated into their world. >Seriously, she's a young ruler who cannot cry, ever, lest the apocalypse demon sealed in her body escape and destroy the planet. That practically writes itself. Having her balance the duties of being a ruler with being a walking atom bomb is something we don't see a lot of
>>139949893 Silver's from the future right? Well if everything's chrome in the future... Seriously though, some of his original designs had him with cybernetic implants, so maybe that's why? >>139949914 He's just happy to be a playable character again!
>Ken Penders and Michael Gallagher had originally pitched two alternate storylines for the comics first three issue miniseries starring Princess Sally.
>The first pitch revolved around an alternate origin for Alicia Acorn. Sally would discover that her mother was Roboticized and was currently leading an underground civilization. Had the plot come to fruition, the Robian Alicia would've gone on to become a reoccurring threat to both the Knothole Freedom Fighters and Dr. Robotnik. >The second pitch involved Sally and Bunnie Rabbot doing a "Thelma and Louise" and heading off on a road trip to stop a threat that had come about on the other side of Mobius.
>>139949952 Honestly, not really feeling any of these. Considering how both Penders and Mike write girls, I doubt either plot would've turned out any better.
>>139949747 >>139949559 >>139949599 Birb!Erazor Djinn would've been an interesting villain, maybe a surviving ancient Babylonian genie who hunts for ancient treasures while his reformed gf Birb!Shahra tries to stop him.
Count him as another in a long list of cool concepts that SEGA bungled in execution.
>>139949942 Sonic Team you've done it again! >>139949951 Correct! The fact that she never sprouts Solaris' wings is a massive disappointment >>139949952 Second one would've been better, first would've given Flynn lots to work with >>139950014 Sigh. I hate that they continue to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory. They have so much cool lore that they just never use.
>>139950014 I actually don't mind Erazor Djinn as a villain since he has a solid presence in the game, manages to stay competant and is delightfully scummy, I just think his voice actor isn't to good and the bird design is cooler but his opera voice man...he could belt it
>>139950196 I like that when he becomes Rouge’s bf Tails gets buff Makes me imagine he’s working out cause he wants to look grown-up and adult around her
>>139950159 I think it was just an Inspector Gadget/Dr No reference >>139950163 The nipple ports really throw it off for me, but he does finally look like an egg at least! >>139950166 lmao >>139950196 Cute! You know where to post the full thing!
>>139950066 They might use some of the Frontiers lore, but it's hard to tell what could come of that. THE END isn't exactly an easy character to use, and Sage matters more to Eggman than any of the other characters.
>>139950102 Yeah, he was a decent villain already, but he could've been even better if he'd managed to menace the main continuity.
>>139950257 I hope they do, and actually tie it into other parts of the canon. If the emeralds are from another planet, then why does Light Gaia use them to defeat Dark Gaia every few million years? Why does Mobius/Earth/Sonic's world have a Master Emerald, when its main purpose is to prevent misuse of the Chaos Emeralds? Who made the Master Emerald, or how was it created? There's so many questions in the lore that Frontiers brings up
>>139946483 They're Infiltrator-series robot copies, exactly like the original down to the last detail. They show up again way into the comic's future.
>>139950257 Oh yeah, I do like your idea of him being Babylonian, could even have him grant wishes to cause villains to get stronger, corrupt allies and all sorts
>>139950354 Yeah, that could be interesting. Perhaps Light Gaia created the Master Emerald, and used it to contain Dark Gaia before the Chaos Emeralds came along? There are tons of interesting possibilities.
>>139949083 Spaz was the only artist that could make Sally look not out of place next to the other Sega characters. Even artists renowned for Segafying characters like Yardley and Bates couldn't get her right. Just look at the way he drew her eyes and muzzle.
>>139950506 That'd be a good way to do it. Release the lore Sega! >>139950509 It's not fair! >>139950649 Spaz could also replicate any Sega style seamlessly. Fantastically talented artist
The Archie Sonic cast gets transported into the universe of Godzilla. How well do you think they would do? Would they be able to make friends and allies of Godzilla and his kaiju friends? Would Robotnik try to make his own copies of or just steal Mechagodzilla, MOGUERA, Jet Jaguar, Mecha-King Ghidorah, and Mechani-Kong?
>>139951091 lmao, kind of! I'm making a reference to one of the Super Specials. Zonic sends him into the kaju dimension to team up with that world's Eggman and fights his father in kaju form. It's massively fucked up. It's one of my least favorite stories
>>139951016 Even being near Godzilla for too long might make them sick, though I doubt it would kill them given they can breathe in space.
It also depends heavily on the continuity. Monsterverse I could easily see the Movie cast becoming part of MONARCH and having to deal with a crazier than usual Jimbotnik and Stone trying to harvest Ghidroah's remains to take over the universe. But Archie specifically? They'd immediately start shit with the humans who support Goji and would be terrified of the big guy himself - Mobians in Archie absolutely despise shit they can't understand in general.
Robotnik probably tries to harness the power of one or more of the evil kaiju and eats shit really quickly.
>>139951210 they can breathe in space but radiation still harms them. Hence lava and heat and lasers all working. Though it'd be a funny and tone-death demise for Sonic to hear that high-fiving Godzilla gave him cancer
>>139951210 Considering King Ghidorah is almost constantly mind-controlled, Robotnik could likely easily get him under his control for a while until Sonic and crew disable it and Ghidorah turns on Robotnik. Any of the other evil kaiju, especially SpaceGodzilla or Destoroyah, would be completely uncontrollable.
>>139951291 Heisei and Showa Ghidorah are the ones that often get controlled. MV Ghidorah is the one who turns the mind-control agaisnt those attempting to control it, going by Mechagodzilla. Then there's Shin and Void Ghidorah, who are weird.
>>139951362 True, it's only Showa and Heisei Ghidorah who have that problem. >Then there's Shin and Void Ghidorah, who are weird. Don't forget Anime Gihodrah, GMK Ghidorah, and Grand King Ghidorah.
>>139951940 Yes_haha_yes >>139952101 Unlike most Sonic continuities, Archie Sonic under Penders is all about the surprise reveals that needlessly complicate the plots
>>139952349 Best I can do is the 2021 ride (https://pastebin.com/vka9prmC), and the archived threads of this ride. I'd change the fireden links to desuarchive if you want to see the images. I was able to see the images that way at least
>>139952517 Yeah, it's a Penders classic in that sense. Why have a story about Sally scoring a win against Robotnik with the team she's been training when you can add 00-Scunk, robot duplicates, two sets of secret freedom fighter groups, and needless love triangles that don't go anywhere?
>>139953186 She doesn't interact with either Tails or Knuckles and she's not playable for whatever reason but also not a real villain. You also only "fight" her when she's temporarily possessed and you can only play as Super Sonic like in Doomsday Zone, other characters don't get real superforms At the end she decides to stay on the island so it's the last you'll ever see of her she's not a mainstay character just a noncommittal 1 and done. Fang gets stranded on the island with her too and he's the only guy she interacts with so I guess she's boning him
>>139953306 There's actually a mode where you get to play as Trip when you beat the main game. Her gimmick is that she has the wall climb ability from Colors while using Spike.
>>139953255 >Mortal, you have served your purpose. Now face your End. I am the all-consuming void. What can one mote of golden light illuminate within the abyss? Countless stars. Countless worlds. Countless lives. All fell to me. All brought to nothing. All the teeming chaos of creation? Brought to order. To neutrality. To nothing. I saw your mind as you ran through my prison. You have fought machines and gods. They were mighty. They were finite. I am infinite. I am nothing. You struggle as so many have done before. You will be consumed like all those before you. I saw your mind. Your courage never wavered. Why? Arrogance? Ignorance? Stupidity? I was contained, once. Once. Is that why? My captors bent time and space. My captors built a whole reality to contain me. My captors burnt their souls away to fuel their engines. And you? You glitter. You fly above me like a gnat. I am inevitable. I cannot be denied. You strike this incarnation with all your might. It changes nothing. You are not brave. You are not victorious. No matter what form I take... THE END comes for you all!
How do you feel about Ian stating that THE END is second to Solaris in the most destructive entities in Sonic tier list?
>>139953469 I feel fine with it. That "character", if you can even call it that, has got to be the most pretentious tryhard thing I have ever seen and I'm glad it's recognised as such.
>>139953485 >That "character", if you can even call it that, has got to be the most pretentious tryhard thing I have ever seen Really? It's a basic bitch type of character that's been present since humans started making stories.
>>139953469 I enjoyed The End more then Solaris as a foe and honestly even though it's stated to be weaker it feels way more like a threat in the presentation and the fact that Solaris was more a threat due to needing to be killed in a specific way dude to time wimey gobbelry goobery
>>139953512 Yeah and they did it terribly. It's a small moon throwing itself at you and you fly at it. Everything else is just self-aggrandising language in a game about a cartoon hedgehog fighting mechadroids. >I saw your mind. Your courage never wavered. Why? Arrogance? Ignorance? Stupidity? No you retarded fucking rock it's an adventure and I'm having fun fighting badguys kys
>>139953311 So they're allowing this but I can't get a barefoot quadruped werehimbo? Boo! >>139953469 Kinda wish Solaris could trash talk like this. Mephiles could definitely talk, but not after merging with Solaris >>139953528 Solaris had a better boss fight at least! I've not played the DLC ending yet
>>139953533 It's a doomsday entity that we see as a moon because it's a form we can comprehend, like how everyone sees Galactus in their own way. And it wants to destroy everything because it's evil and hates existence, similar to Unicron. And like many beings of such power it's an arrogant asshole.
>>139953625 I wouldn't mind if The End reappeared, though like once or twice before being killed off, maybe have it show up in new forms and emphasis that it's initial facade of lofty indifference has given way to focused hatred that some gnat has smited it's physical form and dared to impede it's crusade of oblivion
>>139953625 again a perfect example of what I mean: The End never actually said that. A bunch of flowery meaningless bullshit is said like "The End is retreating into space to regain it's true form" and you pretentious retards extrapolate a bunch of bullshit like "It takes the form of whoever perceive's it's concepts on death!" because you all desperately want Sonic to fight some super deep serious lovecraft entity when in reality you can't accept Sonic Team rushed a random out-of-nowhere baddy with zero buildup and as usual peppered with pretentious speech as per usual because they want people to think Sonic the Hedgehog is philosophical and inspirational for his "courage and wisdom fighting against these insurmountable odds with his secret hidden power of good chaos vs evil order" and again in reality it's just a cartoon hedgehog flying at an evil talking rock yelling cringy 90s catchphrases. It's bad because it is pretentious as fuck.
>>139953823 Dude, all of that information is in the supplementary material and creator's notes. Calm the fuck down, you act like this thing exists solely to personally piss you off.
>>139953843 Dude, if none of that “information” is in the fucking game and you have to read a fanfiction written in a creator’s wattpad or watch a twitter takeover podcast to give it any real character, then it’s time to accept the actual villain itself was shit and was done extremely badly. Star Warsfags accepted it with Palpatine in Last Jedi, it’s only manchild Sonicfags like you who still try to cling onto this frankly embarassing babyshit as masterful out of denial
>>139954071 Yeah, but the start of issue 24 clearly establish that everything taking place in the mini series (including the teaser in issue 20) take place between 23 and 24 (as Sally is still present in issue 21, 22 and 23, yet only announce she has returned from her mission at the start of issue 24) >>139954059 Yeah, but it was pointed out in one of the threads that it made more sense to place it there.
>>139954351 Because the teaser for the Princess Sally mini-series was part of issue 20, but continuity wise, it makes more sense to put the teaser of issue 20 AND the mini series together between Issue 23 and 24.
>>139954641 you can thank a certain shit head spamming up the thread with his nonsense for that, anyway next thread will hopefully be as active but without that caveat
