Question: We never did the official Japanese comics on any ride. Turns out that they’re translated and I have them downloaded. Should we do them?

Sonic and the Freedom Fighters Note: I will use official characters across all continuities whenever possible to populate the world. Aside from extras for crowds, I don’t want to be creating any original characters but there are some that are necessary.

Also, last thread had an update for Tails Gets Trolled, Amy Idol AU, Team Dark Supernova Odyssey, New Generation, Nectar: The World Before, Sonic’s Prank Wars, The Zero Regrets AU, and Cream the Firestarter. Check the OP of the last thread for posts replying to it.

In fact most of his future story ideas for archie revolved around Fiona, like forming her own villain team, as questionable as the content of her character was he personally seemed to think she's a really interesting and engaging charcater.

At most he owns the character names, but he never actually designed most of those characters. Julie-Su would have been designed by Spaz or Manny Galan. He also can't make them look like Sega characters. It'll be interesting to see if Sega sues him because there's no way "Knox" could be considered a separate character to Knuckles.

She was shown in the Encyclo-speed-ia, so Sega considers her their character (as they should). Interestingly, Sega's extremely permissive with fan content provided it's not making a direct profit, and even allows official artists to contribute to charity zines (which are sold for money). The one thing they will never allow is someone directly selling (non-commissioned) Sonic games or comics for a profit. They actually shutdown a fangame for selling access

Isn't that one Ken intends to do? His Scourge spinoff thing got shutdown for that exact reason and he's always brought up how he wants to sell Lara-Su stuff. There's no way in hell parody laws will be able to protect this given he's outright using designs and names for shit that belongs to them.

I'm not sure why that got shut down, but I got the feeling they didn't like all the negative attention. Sega may have talked to them though. I actually felt bad for those guys since they were scammed out of 10k for something Penders doesn't even own the rights to. At most he owns the concept of a evil doppelganger wearing a leather jacket, but can't attach that jacket to Sonic since he doesn't own Sonic. The name Scourge and the green redesign happened after he left the comic.
Penders believes he's changed things up enough for it to be legally distinct from Sonic and therefore publishable. I don't think Sega (or anyone else) will see it that way though. I still plan on getting a digital copy to storytime if no one else buys it

I have to agree here. I want to like Craig, but none of his films after Casino Royale were really worth a damn. Brosnan had the same problem actually, Goldeneye was his only real knockout. Tomorrow Never Dies was okay, but TWINE and Die Another Day were infamous for a reason.
