From the artist that brought us Duke of Anjou, it’s an even bigger medieval epic with war, disguises, murder, more disguises, betrayal, and lots of armor! Art’s great, and the story has a lot of fun twists and turns. It’s a shame Ruggiero and Grifone end up stealing the show, shafting Sally and even Elias.
Some learning fun:
- The comic is based on the illustrations of Gustave Doré did for Orlando Furioso. You might recognize his illustrations from Milton’s Paradise Lost.
- The dudes in the pointy white hoods and robes aren’t kkk, those are Penitent robes worn by priests in Spain and Italy. You usually see them in the Easter procession. The kkk did appropriate the design though, which is kinda funny since they originally wouldn’t let Catholics join.
It’s the start to a crazy epic set in medieval times and featuring various Archie Sonic characters. War, murder, betrayal, and lots of swapped identities. Try and keep track of everyone and everything! This is day one of Tales of the Knights of King Maximillian!
We continue with more betrayals, costume changes, and murder being given out like candy on Halloween. This is day two of Tales of the Knights of King Maximillian!
The time for fun jousting and wearing disguises for fun is over! Pure evil has risen and threatens to take over Mobius! It’s going to take everyone, allies and even enemies, to stop the Lord of Chaos! This is the end! This is day three of Tales of the Knights of King Maximillian!

Tales of the Knights of King Maximillian, I: King Max is at war with the Egg-el-Mann empire, but also has to face the Order of the Dotted Cross and their leader the Black Knight, who wants him dead.

Tales of the Knights of King Maximillian VI. The Battle of Paris The Parisians defend themselves from the turkish forces, whilst King Max’s knights try to stop Mephiles from using the Great Emerald
Tales of the Knights of King Maximillian, Part 7: Reign of the Winged Lord. The Kingdom of France is threatened both from dark lords and evil empires on the outside, as well as from one of Max’s own knights who, corrupted by evil, has seized the throne for himself.
Tales of the Knights of King Maximillian, Part 8: Hidden Strength. King Max’s army and the armies of the other countries free from the Lord of Chaos’ rule join forces for one final confrontation.
