I like it. Very 90s and very realistic and balanced. Also very predictable and not original at all considering it literally references other characters' dynamics. Depends if there are some really memorable scenes in it to make it feel original. Also not immature like IDW baby Tails having a fissy fit cause Sonic stole a disgusting slut fox gf away from him, neither Eggman fooling Knuckles for the 50th time to go against Sonic.
It just sounds like a very natural rivalry and character progression to me like that could be spiced up a bit by a different backstory and original goal for Tails.
