>>132895267>>132904820It's less that they're "devoid of imagination" or "boring" and more that Sonic fans simply quite literally do not care about pairing up characters that they don't think would either look cute together (Tails and Cream, Big and whoever, etc), dont have actual personalities worth investing in (a hard 90% of the cast), or simply have zero chemistry or reasons to interact romantically. The only exceptions to that last part are Sonaze, that one Espio and Blaze comic, that one Espio/Nicole kid, and the occasional lesbian ship with Rouge. And even Rouge has interactions with Topaz that leads to people trying to force the latter into stuff to justify her being with Rouge, but they ultimately still fall short compared to Rouge/Knuckles shipping. Even the Sonic Future artist can't really make Amy/Rouge feel like anything other than a tacked on excuse to keep Amy from being the romantic interest nstead of Zee.
There's probably SOME fetish art of Rouge and Sonic out there simply because that's how porn artists are. But Sonic/Rouge comics? No, simply because no artist is going to put in the effort to try and make the ship work.
