I think the art has some charm to it. It has this strong flavor of early 2000s anime fandom, and the artists keep changing, but it feels nostalgic. Some of the art is kind of cute.
When it comes to writing, so far it looks like some parts that made no sense did actually get explained later. Like the name made the story look like a sequel, but actually it's referring to the number of the diamonds. The Ruby Wish thing was hinted at earlier on, even if it was dumb. I was gonna complain that Rouge deciding to be a meek housewife seems odd for her character, but then it turned out she's still secretly doing morally ambiguous work. And what this anon said: >>130712643
A couple of pages later, Knuckles did actually seem to confuse Tails and Rouge, and he aimed for the wrong one (I can't make sense how it happened though, did the diamond mess with his vision?).
Some parts I still don't get (like what's up with Sonic, or the villain's master plan). I haven't read ahead if they get explained later too, or if some weirdness will continue until the end.
Also, there's been some interesting early internet lessons in these threads too. I didn't know about Psyguy or the controversy around him. But I realized in hindsight that he has been pretty influential in the fandom, and I have actually seen some of his content before without knowing it.
