>>140821788>>140821818My main problem with this isn't even the fact that they're skimming SA2, it's the fact that they don't even do a good job with making a prologue that'd get readers up to speed. They could've cut out the action filler and focused more on Eggman discovering and interacting with Shadow at the beginning like he does in the game proper, and instead have the issue end right as Sonic jumps out of the plane with the improvised board he makes during the drop.
They spent more time on GUN than they did Shadow.
Truth be told, I don't exactly blame the writers for not wanting to adapt SA2 in its entirety, primarily since the bullshit from both Gabrie and Penders forced them to be caught with their pants down (Sonic stuck in Knothole, Chaos Knuckles, the Tails doppelganger etc.), but it only stings more since this all could've been entirely avoidable, but Penders especially refused to read the room that Sega was done with sidelining Sonic and was going to make more main adventures with him now that SA1 essentially restarted Sonic as a game series.
I can definitely tell that things are going to get more haphazard from here for a good while.
