THEY’RE FINALLY GETTING MARRIED! Actually, not just yet. Today we’ll be doing The Proposal, a Sonamy comic about Sonic and Amy getting married (and is still ongoing) but first let’s do a super old and incomplete comic the artist did when they were 13 years old. I have to say they were pretty damn good at this age. This is Before the Proposal!

Question: What’s the best kind of wedding story? When everything goes smoothly without any problems? Some complications arise with some light troublemaking from unwanted guests? Or absolute mayhem where everyone’s lives are in danger?

Sonic and the Freedom Fighters Note: While I understand that most know that Knuckles is a guardian dealing with constant threats as best as he can and Eggman preyed upon his naivete when they first met, I don’t like the characterization that Knuckles is a gullible idiot that can’t guard the Master Emerald to save his life. The Archie version of Knuckles was actually well-written (even by, dare I say, Penders) in that he may not be too smart and is quick to anger but he is mature and always learning from his past mistakes. Also, a lot of suffering. Dude died twice in the comics and that’s the tip of the suffering iceberg for just him. Fleetway Knuckles is also very clever, probably the smartest version of the character.

Also, last thread had an update for Tails Gets Trolled, Sonic Now, Sonic the Continuation, The Heart of a Monster, Sonic Odyssey, Shadow the Hedgehog, and Nectar: The World Before. Check the OP of the last thread for posts replying to it.

Some troublemaking is acceptable, but it should be mostly like the e-vay Boom comics where it's mostly Eggman trying to 'help' and instead causing shenanigans. Keep it Wholesome and silly fun. Wedding stories should never go to An Unexpected Baby levels of messed up - or at the very least, should save that for AFTER the wedding and post-marital stuff.

I agree with all of this. Knuckles should be naive and maybe unused to modern conveniences, but never flat-out dumb.

It's not explicit, but we do know that Eggman's familiar with Gerald's notes in SA2, and that Gerald definitely visited the island (he built a replica ME shrine in the ARK and the artificial chaos based on Chaos). It would also explain how Eggman knew about the ME and how to use it to power the Death Egg.

Apparently, the crative team of the Sonic comics are not allowed to develop new Bugs or Fishes anthro characters (sorry TP). Also not allowed are Too big animal like Whales or Elephant. Also, not Gyraphe, cause Sonic characters have no neck and this create a serious logistic issue in term of design.

That's not how that works. They've always been like this to some degree - they were spitefully fucking with SoA from the very beginning and rather than incorporate new lore introduced by them, would rather tear them down and make new shit without a clear foundation rather than bring it all into a cohesive whole. They simply got worse over time, with the violent failure of 06 (itself because of their own stupidity) and other major events like the Pendering furthering their fall into insanity.

In truth, SoJ never gave a shit about Archie. The Pendering itself simply gave them an excuse to dumpster that entire continuity. And despite how they act now, you can tell they fucking regret it seeing how everybody LOVES almost all the continuities aside from the games or IDW themselves - at least up until Frontiers and TMOS. It's why they've been trying so damn hard to pivot into (poorly) adopting the "everything is canon" approach that SoA has to the franchise by using piss-poor marketing of X or Y thing existing in Z continuity to lure people in like all the fuckery with Prime that's convinced retarded people it shares continuity with the games, the islands nonsense which directly contradicts almost everything they've shown of the world outside of Unpeashed and 06, or how they're trying to get a lore team after decades of throwing out any concept of a coherent setting.
