Lazy Sunday so I’m going to post a couple comics that haven’t been collected in one thread. First up, it’s the first two complete issues of Sonic: Desolation! A town is in trouble and Sonic (with his flesh eyebrows) is suffering from panic attacks from that whole being-imprisoned-and-tortured-for-several-months thing. Will our heroes save the day or will the town be eventually destroyed?

Question: Compared to other characters, how powerful should Sonic be? Should be able to beat everyone in a one-on-one fight or do you like it when various characters can fight him evenly or even beat him consistently?

Dpeednw on the character. He's faster, but Amy, Knuckles, and Mighty should all be beyond him in raw brute power. Shadow has both speed AND power, even if he isn't as consistently strong and Omega is a walking munitions depot. Someone like Scourge should be about his equal as well. And obviously any Gods or cosmic horrors should fold him like an omelette outside of his super form.

Sonic should really be able to literally beat almost any enemy with how fast they keep saying he is. Kinda make you wonder why he didnt go fast in a particular shot, etc.

I don't know how to measure it definitively, but I fucking despise when the rest of the heroes are utterly useless without him. This is one of the reasons Forces was so shit. Sonic gets benched, and suddenly everyone jobs like punks. Shonen has ruined media as a whole.

I think he should be in the leader board, at the very least. Some can get the upper-hand on him but but he can think quick on his feet and find an alternative way to win, or at the very least, distract his opponent enough while one of his friend can come up with a better solution. He might not be the strongest on his own, but give him enough time to build momentum and he can always mange to match his opponent's strength.

It's pathetic is what it is. Sure, the protagonist should be effective in their job, but the world should still be able to turn if they're not around. This is actually one of the many reasons I'm just about done with The Legend of Zelda, honesty. Everyone in Hyrule is a bitch jobber and literally CANNOT resist the forces of evil unless Link is there with his plot magic. Bullshit.

Even the Galactic Federation is somewhat competent and doesn't need Samus to babysit them at all times.

I think all of Sonic's main rivals should be able to fight him to a standstill and force him to use his wits to win but Sonic is also really powerful after Frontiers and might be able to just punk everybody now.

Having read the fanfic out of morbid curiosity, the big reason he dislikes the resistance is bad blood with Knuckles, who basically fucked off and abandoned everyone for Angel Island in the coldest way possible, only coming back when Eggman more or less destroyed the entire place and killed or captured everyone there. Him leaving like he did is the big seat of Sonic's resentment and likewise, Knuckles hates the shit out of him as well.

It's a selective Gaussian blur, which only blurs nearby pixels that have a similar color. This preserves the linework while removing most of the paper texture. I then do a x2 upscale with cunet with maximum noise reduction since the scan's pretty low resolution. The noise reduction fixes the rest of the paper texture. Finally I rescale the colors to reduce the "washed out" look. The trick was trying random things until the image looked better!

Finished Sonic Live and the Image Comics crossover. Turns out you can set up custom shortcuts in gimp, which makes things a lot faster! Okida also mention in the comments that STC mini series; Tekno - Invasive Procedures take place right after issue 10.

Personally, while Ghost and the cosmo arc happen at the same time, I would suggest to first do Ghost, then the Cosmo arc to prevent disruption in the cosmo arc.
