On the note of this piece: not gonna lie, before the trailers and such for the second movie I half-figured Eggman would be coming back to Earth after going on a rampage across like half the known universe, looting planets and stealing and reverse-engineering all the technology he came across. Maybe even conquering at least one planet.

Yeah, they did a good job making the long level hub but it can't replace the comfy feeling of walking around the various hubs and talking to the people. The Unleashed Project showed just how smooth things could run on PC. Adabat/Jungle Joyride in particular really slowed down during some of the water running parts but were completely fine on PC.

I'm actually kinda optimistic for Frontiers 2. I really liked the gameplay with Frontiers (I was expecting overland travel with Sonic to go over like a lead balloon), so if the sequel has better art direction and graphics, I feel like they could have something really good on their hands.
