What an interesting bunch of comics we have today! Let’s start with a couple attempts at a comic from the artist that gave us The Balance of Trust! It’s Sonic and Tails vs a dragon. Two very different interactions! This is Infinity!

Question: Are you ever interested in seeing previous versions of the same comic? How different does it have to be?

Sonic and the Freedom Fighters Note: Eggman has learned a lot from Uncle Chuck, who specialized in creating robotic limbs and machinery to improve life for people. This will be a very useful thing for Eggman to adapt and warp in his creations. Chuck’s greatest invention will be one of the worst things Eggman will utilize later on.

Also, last thread had an update for Sonic and the Freedom Fighters and Sonic Now. Check the OP of the last thread for posts replying to it.

I can only really think of one instance of this even happening. It was that weird one featuring an OC villain who is transparently Ulquiorra as a mobian. The author just up and decided to reboot it, except that it was the exact same thing just with slightly different art. Shit was weird.

It's always fun to see how vastly different someone's work iss when they're just starting. It's so variable, anywhere from it being mostly the same story as the later version, to something entirely different. Other M and how that material got adapted for Archie springs to mind.

My guess is Little Planet's gravity stops not much further than the surface. It's still affected by inertia though since it follows the rotation of Mobius/Earth

Okay, I think it's time we clear up a misconception. Individuals who you perceive to be from separate ones co-existing is NOT necessarily an anomaly. The longest sprite comic I'm aware of is Castlevania RPG, which lasted a whopping 19 years and only ended recently some time in 2022 with over 8,000+ comic strip in total. It literally outlasted every other sprite comci around at the time of its creation till today.

It’s not that unusual for 2000s Tails.
Let’s add it up. In Rush Adventure he builds the Ocean Tornado - that giant boat Marine lives on in archie - from Marine’s garage with only rocks and driftwood for materials. And then he makes 2 or 3 more similarly sized giant boats/submarines for her that she just doesn’t use as much I guess.
In Shadow 05 he builds a rocketship which seems to be the size of a comfortable two-or-three story house from the inside. Likewise in Chronicles he does this again (even names this one the Typhoon).
The Blue Typhoon was basically the size of a large cruise ship. Adding those together I absolutely believe he could’ve built this in his home base over a few months.
Probably he just has an ore mining/smelting belt he keeps hidden from everyone else to provide his bigger projects.

I don't think is quite a new idea from Sega to have them as a group, they have been a thing in the past, maybe not as omnipresent as they are now but it didn't come out of nowhere. I don't really think it's bad that Sega just made them into a thing now but it would be good to have a real feel of their dynamic as a group to avoid the problem of basically everyone taking their turn to talk to Sonic and only to Sonic.

I know yeah, but what I'm saying it's it makes sense for them to be the main group from a brand standpoint and they sorta have always been a thing past the classic era, just not as in-your-face as nowadays. SA had them plus Big and Gamma, SA2 had them with Amy not playable but still appears, Heroes is the Sonic trio but Amy still appears, Battle has them, the Advance series is basically them plus Cream, things like Riders and Boom too. It's once we start to move into the modern era when Sega started to cut down until it was only Sonic and we now have looped back to make them more prominent. I guess Sega decided to now make them more prominent due to popularity and seniority.
