The cursed days are behind us. For now. Today we turn our sights to a couple recently released comics. The first is the latest issue of Sonic Frenzy. The whole issue. When we last left Sonic, he had some trouble with a weird emerald copy of himself and his companion Violet helped him take it out as well as a couple of Eggman’s newest creations. But now the doctor is ready unleash another one on our heroes. How will they fare and will we learn more about this world as well as Violet? Let’s find out!

Sonic and the Freedom Fighters Note: “Heh, this is all different from how it was with me.” What Zonic says at the end of issue 3 makes it seem like he wasn’t observing but rather taking part in something. If you know who Zonic is then you’ll find out that he’s not the same as before. If you don’t know who he is then you won’t be at a disadvantage.

Anyone else here on a bit of super copium the 900 special comic from IDW will have, even the slightest showing of the past comic canons somehow?
There's no way they can say they're celebrating sonic comics with out even just mentioning the previous comics names and really just celebrating IDW, right? That would be absurd!!!

Ultimately this isn't much different from post-reboot Archie, where they kept the numbers but couldn't really talk about anything from the previous continuity.
It does seem quite hollow to make a celebration like that though, but I also understand the intent behind it.
It being 900th added to IDW's current situation also makes me wonder about how the people working on it feel about the current state of the company.

Well to be fair she is incredibly traumatized by her unit all getting killed sans Mimic, who got them all killed. She's pretty much a powder keg of emotion that'll either bawl or rage at any uncarefully picked word. Only Tangle can really calm her down.
