Depends on the continuity, but for the games, it should definitely be like, a year or so of knowing each other. And he shouldn't be an insecure little bitch about it.

I have a movieverse fanfic in my head that Sonic actually met Amy during his universe hopping travels. They become friends, there's a little mutual attraction, but they have to part ways because of reasons. They meet later after Amy goes looking for him, and it's initially awkward, but ultimately, they start dating and it's wholesome as fuck.

thanks, admittedly thiccness was the main priority on the design but really proud of overall outfit and hairstyle. Admittedly AU is mostly just giving characters less or more prominence plus everyone having clothes and also plot tweaks.

I'm highly biased, but they're a great way to distinguish an AU from the regular canon while conveying the key differences in tone, setting and characterization. That, and seeing them in cute outfits is a lot of fun Best of luck with the AU, hopefully it'll expand into another homegrown fancomic!
