The reason behind the guest artist for the first three pages is because the usual one needed a week break and this lined up pretty well. I believe this is this artist's first time drawing Sonic characters, pretty tricky designs.

Tails obviously has The Only Thing They Fear Is You blasting whenever he's ready to kill. I associate Sonic with Dream Again by Miracle Of Sound and similar adrenaline-pumping music. Knuckles is whatever would be cool for a Master Emerald Guardian. Shadow is obviously CRAWLIIIIIING IN MY SKIIIIIIIIIIIIIN
