The more popular the ship, the higher the chances are that bad writers attempt to write something for it (very young writers, chronically trashy writers, people outside the fandom writing something for attention, etc.) and there's no bigger example in the Sonic series than sonamy.

As far as I know, Archie is the only one to have crossbreeding. Sally is a squirrel-chipmunk, getting her looks and short tail from her mom. Elias gets his long tail from his father. In Light Mobius, all the kids with parents from different species (Sonic/Sally, Tails/Mina, Bunnie/Antoine) resembled one parent. Aside from size differences or something else that makes it physically impossible, I don't think anything can stop two mobians from having a kid. But they're not going to be an amalgamation. It isn't. They don't even function by the same rules. Archie Silver is connected to all Zones per WOG and wouldn't be erased by altering events in a single Zone. He didn't. Light Mobius' downfall was caused by Shadow, possessed by Naugus who is actually a mostly unknowing pawn to Finitevus. And since Light Mobius no longer exists, most of the events therein have no bearing on the Shock & Awe timeline.

He watches msot of the people he comes to know die increasingly horrible deaths, and that's just in a couple issues. By the end of the story, Enerjak is manifested and kills everything on the planet beyond Malik, Sonic's son and Knuckles' daughter (also Mogul, but he WISHES he could die), who Silver is descended from and who end up repopulating the planet once Enerjak is destroyed. Silver's original future is literally entirely inhabited solely by hedgehogs and echidnas because there was nothing else to use as a genetic baseline.

He changes this in the epilogue issue, by killing or otherwise removing literally of the villains, which alters the timeline so much that his future never comes about so Silver gets erased from existence.
