He fights an alien invasion, almost dies, and spends a year in space, watched alien races wiped out, gets back home, gets his arm broken, gets THE SLAP, bounces around girls, watches his friends die, Eggman and his egg grapes genociding races, and who could forget Ian's famous "let's shit on the Freedom Fighters and put Sonic at his lowest point"? Fleetway ended very early in comparison and Johnny's death was the biggest hit to him. Sonic has experienced that many times over.
