Being one of the most prolific Sonic fan creators, it's no surprise one of Okida's has taken home the award for best portrayal of Sonic.
With a comfy friendly rivalry with Sonic, Eggman from the e-vay Boom comics has won here. Again proving that the Boom continuity is the most comfy!

Thank you for organizing the storytimes, the awards, and all the fun we had. I had no idea the world of Sonic fancomics was so massive, but it was interesting to go dive into it together. It was nicer to read these comics on this site's layout than deviantArt or Twitter, too. Yeah, I weirdly have much better discussions with the coomers, at least they like something. I wouldn't even mind the schizos and rabid IDW/Archie/etc fans if they weren't so dour about everything.
I think the other issue is that Sonic fans tend to be way more intense than most fandoms. We've been arguing about Sally versus Amy for almost as long as Eva-fags have been arguing about Asuka versus Rei. Everyone knows the real answer is Shadow and Kaworu though.

Ironically the IDW run is handling Sonamy well. Amy isn’t too pushy but still shows obvious affection for Sonic, and Sonic in turn always seems happy to have Amy around and always asks her to go on adventures with him. ArsWorld is the best domestic Sonamy out there, plus their R34 of them is top tier.

Man, I can't believe how fucking nutty TGT got over time. It's basically became a modern epic.
I also like how after a while it became an artist collective kinda thing where cycling artists drew the new pages while Lazorbot still writes. It's a cool symbiotic relationship.

It's fine, just keep reading it. It's got its moments. The main cast aren't particularly different compared to how they were before the reboot, and most of the OCs were more interesting than IDW's.
The only truly annoying things are that you get such a short time with the new setting and its characters before the comic ends, and the clusterfuck of a crossover that Worlds Unite was.
I didn't even realize there was supposed to be gay shipping between Nicole and Sally. I only learned about it years later after hearing anons talk about it. I just saw them as friends at the time.

It was a big shitshow that fans call "the Pendering". The comic had to reboot because of legal problems. No, unfortunately the era before the reboot didn't end gracefully.
There was this lawsuit involving Ken Penders and the Sonic characters he'd created while working at Archie Comics. Due to the events at the court, a large number of supporting characters had to be removed from the comic very suddenly right in the middle of storyarcs that heavily featured those characters. It was really obvious that some of the last pre-reboot stories had been hastily edited at the last minute, and it was pretty awkward.
The first Mega Man crossover happened to coincidentally interrupt the main story of the comic right then. It gave the team some extra time to think about how to proceed. After the crossover was done, the comic got rebooted into a new world where the supporting characters that caused legal problems were gone.

Since the universe got rebooted, a lot of plot threads from the old universe never got any resolution. The writer of the comic has been promising to create a document called "Lost Hedgehog Tales" that would detail what his original plans were, but it's been years and I don't feel like we'll ever see it. Some fans have worked on fan comics that continued directly after the pre-reboot situation and aimed to give certain subplots a resolution.

Sadly ReVice has fallen in this trap and ironically Sakura and Hana are the weakest part of the show.
