That said, I don't think the mechanics are disabled but that's just Sonic Team being Sonic Team. Sonic's the only character to canonically use chaos control without a real emerald. Jesus, already to TGT, this was one of the most interesting rides I've ever witnessed. My only regret is that I wasn't part of the early threads and jump into the shitposting delight, hopefully I'll finish archie before IDW drops.

Best path is to look at the source in e621, then figure out what the original filename was (probably using tthe wayback machine), and then looking for that in Pintrest. He does have an emerald when he fights black bull though (he actually has two at that point).
It's unclear if he has any emeralds in Forces, but I'd like to think he doesn't need them.
Lancelot's from a magical realm and has a powerful magical sword so he might be using that.
You didn't mention it, but he can use his full complement of chaos powers in 06, even when Solaris has scattered all the emeralds (that might just be a gameplay convenience though).

For second one, I'm really into that late 90s-early 00s futuristic aesthetic. All the neon piping,oversized gloves/boots, and fabric that accentuates all the right places. Not sure if you'd call it a fetish, but it's very nostalgic and hot for me.
