It’s been a while but MeanBeanZone has gotten back to Sonic Future. We have a lot to cover and will start back up where we left off last thread. The story takes place during a time after Eggman’s death and Sonic is 30. He’s having a midlife crisis right when a cute new girl starts working for the Freedom Fighters. Zee has been closely guarded by Shadow who isn’t very happy with Sonic taking interest in her. To make matters worse, there’s a spider scientist named Nax that has been experimenting on her and wants her back. He has Metal Sonic on his side and is a formidable opponent himself. Here’s thread two of Sonic Future!

You don't know the half of it. I was actually thinking of making my own take of the SatAM/Archie, witha few more element of other Sonic sotries added to it and with the intent making adaptation of as many Sonic games as possible and I was thinking of "Sonic and the Freedom Fighters" as a tittle. (to be frank, though, the simplicity of this name kinda explain the coincidence) and it would have been made with a desire of providing to the audience (i.e. me) a bit more Sonally content (and some buntoine too)

Don't expect anything soon though, as this is all in the speculative an me still needing to find a solid source of income. It might never come to anything substantial. Right now I am the "I wrote a whole book in my head" guy. Good speed to you, I wish a long success to your project.

In the second anime trilogy movie for Godzilla, Mechagodzilla gets converted into a fuckhuge city that begins self-replicating out of control and slowly overwhelming the Godzilla-dominated Earth, to the point it could eventually consume it all. The idea of Eggman's own city going on autopilot and threatening to consume and destroy the planet is very similar in many ways.

They came out after I enacted my personal policy to not pay for anything SEGA makes until they put out something with the Freedom Fighters or a decent Phantasy Star game. So far I haven't had cause to regret it.

I respect the movies for apparently making Knuckles cool and a legitimate rival to Sonic again but until I hear they've said "Mobius" or referenced Enerjak or something I know the mandates wouldn't allow I won't be convinced they're free from SEGA's yoke.

Paramount money is more than enough to make Sega look the other way. The first movie almost came out with that horrible first design for Sonic and Paramount could've went ahead but thankfully didn't.

It's not that they don't like Sonic, it just doesn't appeal to them as much and Sonic was always marketed more in the west. He had more cartoons and comics, and helped Sega compete with Nintendo in the 90s. IIRC the Dreamcast also did well in the west, especially the US, while getting BTFO by the Playstation in Japan. So while Sonic always had a presence in various forms of media in the west, it wasn't the same in Japan.
