>Stick around for fan continuations? Despite that, I'm a little meh on the fan continuations. I love the art on ASO but aside from the Mecha Sally conclusion & the ongoing thing with Bunnie, I'm not entirely hyped for the rest of the preboot plots.
I was counting on that reboot fan continuation, but it never got as far as THIS VERY ISSUE.
I'm hoping someone gets inspired by these storytimes to do something NEW with these characters, make new stories, new developments, new directions.
But alas. All I mostly see are attempts at origins that integrate themselves into game canon or ending the stories that where set before the cancellation. Of hellos and goodbyes.

With every year that passes it feels like Archie get's looked over as "that weird book mostly only done by that Ken Penders" less and less, especially since around last year someone with moderate popularity started making video essays about it. Helps that with every issue IDW shows that wont and possibly even just CAN'T bring new shit to the table and get's people yearning for some shit with some meat on it's bones
Reading this comic is like watching someone grow up in real time the way it goes from lighted-hearted, to needlessly edgy and horny, and then levels out as a genuinely good read for all ages after the reboot. I think IDW has shown it works as a spiritual successor to reboot Archie
