Sonic Universe #67-70 Knuckles doesn’t like unwelcomed guests and yet he’s got a lot of them. First, Eclipse has crash landed and is harvesting fruit on Angel Island. And now Team Dark has shown up looking for Eclipse. And to make matters worse, they want the Master Emerald, too! Knuckles just wants to be left alone but nobody cares what he wants!

To be honest, this Archie Sonic has taugh me that people REALLY need to learn how to separate the art from the artist.
People really over-hate the 1-156 era of the comic, because Ken Penders bad, or he was a d*ck or something, even tho he IS the one that made the comic serious and episodic to begin with. And then at the other side of the coin, you have the people that praise Ian Flynn as a god, and say that EVERY SINGLE creative choice he made, no matter how dumb they could get at times, is pure gold, which just WOULDN’T be the case if the Behind-The-Scenes context didn’t exist. It just wouldn't.
Take Geoffrey for example. He is a genuinely good character in this story, and yet people just KEEP clowing on him, for no real reason other than, "Well, Ken Penders had a fetish with him in the 90’s or something". As if that has had anything to do with the plot? Ever? See what I mean?
Going in completely un-biased, I can safely say, there are great, and awful stories, in both sides. Overall I did enjoy my experience reading through all of it, and I hope others try to do that too.

They could survive like any other animal but this is a choice their species made and it's as natural to them as spinning a web is for a spider. To see where the character goes, if they reach a new conclusion towards other life or still view it as inferior, that has always been fun.
Seperate art from artist. Just because Penders was a jerk and lawsuit stuff doesn't necessarily mean everything he wrote was bad. I think he had plenty of great ideas and some of his stories were decent. Even if he had plenty of bad ones as well. He is also one of the main reasons the comic lasted for so long turning it into a more continuous and serious story.

The problem is that he had good *initial* ideas. He had trouble with stretching them out into long term stories, at some point, he didn't know what to do with his ideas and stuff got boring. Prime example, his knuckles comics. That and Knuckles being green and doing nothing for like a year.
And then course, all of his retard moments that outweighed any good he could've done in the end.
