Sonic #221-222, FCBD 2010, and Sonic Boom Shattered Crystal Minicomic Love is in the air! But so is trouble! After the Iron Dominion debacle, Sonic and Sally have gotten back together but that’s not the only thing to come from it. The lovebirds can’t even enjoy a date with the unrest around them spoiling the mood. The people have spoken! Nicole can’t be trusted! And then, we go back a bit to cover a FCBD story that pits Sonic against an old enemy that doesn’t know when to stay dead! And after that, we’ll sneak in a short Sonic Boom Shattered Crystal tie-in comic.
Question: Be honest. If you didn’t know anything about Nicole other than that she created everything in the city you live in and one day turned evil and had control over everything, wouldn’t you be scared of her?
>>141714422 >MARRY ME, MINA didn't know fellow ride members were in this comic also >that mario mobian have there been any references to bing bing wahoo beforehand or is this the first one?
>>141714406 Question: Scared of Nicole the person? Nah. I'd be more upset that Sally, the Freedom Fighters and the Council had no security checks or backup plans in case something like The Iron Queen happened
>>141714406 >Question: Be honest. If you didn’t know anything about Nicole other than that she created everything in the city you live in and one day turned evil and had control over everything, wouldn’t you be scared of her? No, because her turning on the Iron Queen was a publicly visible event. The arguments against her specifically have no weight behind them because everyone saw that and knows she's on the level.
Now, granted, the arguments against a single individual, no matter how noble, having full unrestricted control of the entire nanite colony are of course perfectly reasonable. I love Nicole, but she is still just a singular person, and there's every possibility that Regina could come back and override her defensive measures against the technomancy.
The problem, ultimately, is the reactionary bullshit Mina and her supporters pull. Treating Nicole like she's somehow the villain is stupid and repugnant.
>>141714441 God, their chemistry is the best, also yeah lot of drama in comics really would be sorted with talking….though other times ironically that escalates things
>>141714521 Naugus isn't like Eggman. He can enjoy a good concert. >>141714478 >MARRY ME, MINA >didn't know fellow ride members were in this comic I wonder if Ash got security to escort that person out.
>>141714406 >Question As a Zoomer who is very critical of growing use of technology and AI, yes, I would be very concerned and as a normal citizen, I would be among those who would protest to have Nicole disable or something.
If I was a part of the Freedom Fighters, and knew Nicole to a well enough extent, I’d be worried, but I’d feel bad for her.
>>141714540 > The problem, ultimately, is the reactionary bullshit Mina and her supporters pull. Treating Nicole like she's somehow the villain is stupid and repugnant. Nagus caused that. He’s the guy corrupting their valid concerns into an angry mob with his magic. Nicole simps like to ignore that plot point for some reason. They really want Mina to be the main villain of the comic.
>>141714611 And oh despite my feelings on the matter, Mina is still an ass. Nicole wasn’t the only one who got controlled afterall, and Nicole is more or less an actual person
>>141714596 >>141714623 In case no one knows this there's a cover (can it be a cover if it was never really preformed in the first place) of this song on youtube
>>141714592 Yeah, them using his design to give him the origin of being three mobian wizards combined was a really fun touch and made him more interesting, though he was always a fun villain
>>141714406 >Question: Be honest. If you didn’t know anything about Nicole other than that she created everything in the city you live in and one day turned evil and had control over everything, wouldn’t you be scared of her? Nah I'd still just wanna tap that Lynx form
>>141714630 Oh please, you’d at least feel some form of concern if you were the typical Mobian citizen.
I know very well that Nicole is her own person and wouodnt willing hurt people. But in the world of Mobius where I’m just a normie who isn’t privy to Freedom Fighter stuff and doesn’t know Nicole well, I would want her to be shut down. Especially after what happened.
>>141714731 Completely different situation, the people are right to be fed up with the royal family’s fuck ups, they are in the wrong however to turn on Nicole, who’s practically their savior.
>>141714702 >Had the reboot never happened, Mina would slowly become aware that she's being influenced by Naugus for his own gain. He's the one putting nightmares in her head. >She starts to realize how Nicole felt, being someone else's pawn used to hurt people.
>>141714818 Because Mina has essentially already got the civilians riled up and has already worsened things for Nicole before she could try and work to resolving peoples mistrust
>>141714788 >Mina and Ash somehow can't see murder not two feet in front of them Look at Sally. You can see it in her fucking face that she's picking out spots to hide the bodies. She's about to summon the bear guards and tell everyone else to leave the room.
>>141714820 This honestly isn't a great argument on Sally's part if anything it should make Mina hate Nicole even more because she should have been finding a way to preserve the citizens under the Iron Dominion's nose
>>141714869 Uh... I guess they'd feel uncomfortable about her speech and leave? You know, I feel like that would be mighty awkward for everybody involved.
>>141714880 >she should have been finding a way to preserve the citizens under the Iron Dominion's nose She was though. She was the reason they were able to know their movements so they could help evacuate people and stage attacks.
>>141714880 >she should have been finding a way to preserve the citizens under the Iron Dominion's nose But she was? She was helping Amy and Antoine save people. But she couldn't actively get involved or the jig was up.
>>141714918 Yeah, this was a total bitch move from her that just warped the foundations of New Mobotropolis and its people. She played right into Ixis's hands.
>>141714894 People using moments from Archie Sonic out of context and or misreading/deliberately misinterpreting story moments to paint it as worse then it is? Nahhh, who would do that now?
>>141714406 Oh hey, back from overseas just in time for my first ever issue. I had never seen Satam so needless to say I was incredibly confused. But it was Sonic and there were a lot of cute girls.
>>141714996 And yet everybody ignored it completely to ship her with either Shard or Sally. Kinda funny, and I gotta admit I don't care much for it either.
>>141714845 >even SONIC suddenly regrets ever protecting these people When even Sonic the fucking Hedgehog is going "Eggman did nothing wrong.", you have truly fucked up.
>>141715010 Also, the cover has a lot of edits. There's a lot of Sonamy ones and I've seen a Sonadow one. You'd be surprised how many Sonally stuff from Archie has edits. Because it's the most romance involving Sonic.
>>141714941 >>141714973 Same, these past couple arcs really illustrate him as a guy who valued his people first and foremost, despite his flawed views. Really shows how good Penders characters are when not written by him.
>>141715069 >sally and alicia looking at each other romantically >sonic thinking about that oyakodon >geoffrey doesn't approve or wishes he was in sonic's place
>>141714894 >>141714995 >We have an AI running the city that can be corrupted in kill us all. >Pfft. If you don't accept the AI, I hope Eggman raids you to make you accept it. But Nicolewaifugahs will never be ready for this conversation.
>>141714958 Mina isn’t omnipresent like the reader. All she knows is that their AI that controls the entire city was hijacked and made life hell for her and her friends. The heroes then go on to pretend like nothing ever happened. Seems pretty rational to be calling for change.
>>141714941 >>141714973 Yeah it's insane how much of a cool character arc Dmitri has gone through.
He goes from being an arrogant scientist, a lunatic possessed by an ancient demon, turned into an immortal cyborg after said demon leaves your body as a husk, lead a facist movement, be betrayed by your allies and underofficers, and now a humbled remorseful man seeking some kind of redemption.
>>141714970 It is funny how Dmitri was more directly a villain then Max but feels like less of an awful person due to his repentance, competence and ability to actually self reflect on him being wrong
I do think the FFs should have more safe guards with nicole. Actually she did say she updated herself againist regina but also some more. And minas being bit of an ass. I'd say they're both wrong
>>141715010 Funny how some people got mad at the cover just for Amy looking, like not even being upset just observing, anyway I think this is a fun cover and like how the hair is done to sell the speed they’re moving
>>141715155 Penders would have never done that. Thats also why return to angel island was cool. More fleshing out of things that he would have never done
>>141714548 I do love how laid back Naugus became in this part of the comic. Knew everyone around him are so incompetent its better to let them destroy eachother.
>>141715108 Like people don’t say stuff they don’t fully mean in anger, characters aren’t meant to be perfect or always have the character answer or choice in a story, I swear people have an obsession with trying to outwit fiction and just being smarmy wankers instead
>>141715100 >sally and alicia looking at each other romantically Funny, there's been only one mother/daughter(kinda) hentai I've seen and even less doujin. There's plenty of mother/daughter JAV though.
>>141715267 >That little black dress By the Walkers you already prance about in just a open vest yet somehow you own something that makes you look even MORE LIKE a slut
>>141715299 I can imagine Antoine going through the restaurant like Gordon Ramsey. One place had a stick of margarine in his line of sight. It closed down a week later.
>>141715267 >Alicia: Ha! Could you imagine me wearing this little black dress? Why, something as revealing as this would neve-- >Max, believing Alicia was wearing a little black dress, hurls himself from his wheelchair into the room.
Good, fucking seethe in your hole, bitch. This is ultimately your fault anyway. I don't for even a second want to let the villains off the hook for the absolute state of things.
>>141715233 You have to be dense to think the Freedom Fighters would've even listened to her if they talked. What were they going to do? Turn on their hologram friend just because Mina is concerned?
>>141714705 This is actually sad too. There is easily an alternate universe out there where people still fear Sonic for his power, and Mina decided to make a song about Sonic being a demon or something
>>141714406 >Question: Be honest. If you didn’t know anything about Nicole other than that she created everything in the city you live in and one day turned evil and had control over everything, wouldn’t you be scared of her? I'd point out that if she didn't exist, we'd all be either nuked or stuffed into Egg Grapes and dead right now. Then I'd punch the first person who tries to "but ackshually-" me.
>>141715383 Someone get Espio, we're gonna cancel Mina for culturally appropriating from the Dragon Kingdom. Bitch is never gonna find work in this planet again.
>>141715299 This feels like the first time in forever since Chuck has played the role of Sonic’s father figure. Ever since Jules came back he’s been a background character.
>>141714996 going into this ride I kind of forgot about that ship, but I can totally see it now as a side note I'm super glad the chaotix have been given actual material to work with after flynn took over (as opposed to being randos in the knuckles stories), same with nicole becoming a core cast member
>>141715415 >waiter from a fancy restaurant causes a scene because he couldn't keep his mouth shut Actual worst garçon ever, this is the shit that gets you fired and blacklisted.
>>141715300 You know you aren’t proving the got mad over her being there allegations wrong, besides they are a couple in only the comic and one show, Sonamy gets teased in two shows and some light stuff in the games, i may not like the pair but I don’t mald about it…that’s what silvaze is for
>>141715501 Even in the most romantic setting, Sonic and Sally can't help but poke fun at each other. Strange way to flirt but that's how they get their kicks.
>>141715573 >Ian: Tails can't have a real love interest, he's just a kid, that's gross! >Also Ian: reminds everyone that Geoffry was potential romantic partner for Sally despite being a grown ass man and has him openly jealous of Sonic and Sally's relationship while for all we know he's STILL married
>>141715497 >Sonic Only through robotization which isn’t a thing anymore. >Knuckles Because Locke was a retard and left the Master Emerald under the watch of the most obvious villain ever.
>>141715326 don't even get me started, sex appeal and what's considered appropriate is a goddamn minefield >>141715573 knowing what's coming soon makes all this feel that much more bittersweet, Archie deserved better a hundred times over
>>141715665 >Sonic You forgot that time he got amenisa and Robotnik tricked him into beating up all the Freedom Fighters and that FCBD issue where Eggman controlled him with an earpiece and beat up the FF AND the Chaotix
Why do people keep saying amy is a cuck? Sonic and her weren't even a thing and acting like sally just came on a vine swing and snatched sonic away. they knew each when they were kids, jeez
>>141715728 As busy as the last bunch of threads were, it wasn't easy to fit this in sooner. Thankfully, it's not too late to do this story. It does take place right after the Iron Dominion arc.
>>141715540 I recall some people taking umbridge with the slowdown line, but I don’t care cause this is a lovely page and really nice to see them be lowkey with their love
>>141715740 because the "let my beloved be happy" trope to many just boils down to cuckholding because they're just letting the person they openly love date someone else
>>141715759 Well at least he got a good end with rebuilding Haven and becoming its central computer. It's all a humbled god needs. And Harry stays punished.
>Dmitri: Did you know I had a family, Nicole? A beautiful, loving wife and a wonderful son. Sure, he may have been a rebel but all kids are at his age. Heh, after the meeting...that meeting about implementing my...Edmund and I's plan...I was going to see my son in a game later that night? Championships, big after party. I wouldn't have missed it for anything in the world. >Dmitri: But I let myself get worked up. I got distracted. The reasons trivial and pointless in the long run. I let anger and arrogance ruin my judgement, blind me. I was angry, Nicole. Angry, disgusted, grief-stricken, and scared -- and I just wanted to make my problems go away, like a little boy selfishly wishing his troubles away. >Dmitri: I got what I wanted. The power to make things the way I wanted. To hurt and humiliate those who humiliated me. It cost me everything. I could never see my beloved wife again or hold her in my arms. I never got to see my own son grow up and give me grandkids. I turned one half of my family into fanatics and the others into isolated paranoiacs desperately waiting for an apocalypse that they themselves cooked up. >Dmitri: I know how you feel, Nicole. Afraid and betrayed, thinking that everyone in the world is out to get you. But you needn't be afraid. You have friends, my dear. People who know you better than any caterwauling strumpet or the common rabble-rouser. Friends, REAL friends. From what I've seen in the databanks, they care more about you than anyone. You're not a machine to them nor a monster. You're a person to them. >Dmitri: Of course you can still be upset. You have every right to be. But from one machine to another, don't let it cloud what you should be grateful for. There's no great truth or victory if you follow the path of hatred and vengeance. Had I only talked to my brother Edmund --Aurora he was a pushover sometimes, but he knew me better than anyone -- instead of giving in to my anger, I'd still see my wife and son again.
>>141715778 Because he openly despies Barby liking Tails in any way due to the age gap so he more or less never acknowledges it in any way but still keeps the Sally Geoffry one in memory yet he of all people should find it just as "gross"
>>141715740 Her not being upset at losing her crush in the slightest is weird as fuck. Her love for Sonic is a major part of her character and Ian constantly downplays the fuck out of it everytime he writes her.
>>141715774 It really is a shame that OTIS never appeared again. Especially with the current storyline, it's jarring that the United Federation having an A.I that can unilateraly decide to launch fucking nukes was never really addressed.
>>141715668 It is impressive how he had the most complete character arc of possibly any character besides Gamma, i really miss this stuff from the extra media
>>141714780 >already bad blood from that one human accidentally killing the prince >Years later, Max having Kodos AND Naugus speaking in his ear >Nate somewhat eases things >Kodos and Naugus push back against Nate >Nate leaves for peace >Enter Robotnick And it all fell from here...
>>141715635 I don’t understand why Knux is seething so hard at his great uncle. They haven’t been enemies in ages. Knuckles gave his life to save Dimitri once. Even when Dimitri joined up with Eggman he was never this pissed at him and tried to talk sense into him.
>>141715906 >>141715930 This is quite possibly the deepest of cuts. Only a turbo nerd would even begin to remember this character, and yet here it is, being a potential major plot point.
>>141715793 The opposite would just make her an incel, i swear you can’t win with this shit, Sonamy fans are so insufferable, Sally can’t even be used anymore so why be mad about it?
Penders could never makr up his fucking mind on who the bad guys were in his stories. The Dark Legion and Dingoes were both built up to be fascists, and kept backpedalling on them being misunderstood victims. Dimitri was supposed to the Robotnik stand in for Knuckles yet he pussed out. They never had a single fight.
>>141716019 It will NEVER stop being morbidly hilarious that Robotropolis got nuked. And what's even better is that it happened during the magazine era, so that major shake up was only a third of the issue.
>>141715974 Krudzu is honestly one of the most dangerous badniks. This thing is fucking bullshit.
>>141716075 Sonic enjoys the good old days. Even if they come back to try and kill him. >>141716053 >no tombstone >no memorial building >no mention Natebros...
>>141716048 >All we need is the Universalamander to return or maybe that buff termite. Considering Eggaman is taking notes here, honestly would not be surprised if that happened if the comic managed to avoid the legal bullshit. Universalamander was legit, and technically he was never destroyed, just sent to the microverse.
>>141715759 >Super Genesis Wave reaches Angel Island >Dimitri looks on from what's left of Haven >Dimitri: This is..... >Edmund: The end of all things. >Dimitri:.........HOW?! >Edmund: Chaos Force. But then again, all of....this is Chaos as well. >Dimitri: No doubt by the Doctor. >Edmund: Yes. But our hands are not unclean. >Dimitri: But you-- >Edmund: My side of the family was too preoccupied with Tradition, when we should've been open to change. This is our fault as well. Lack of foresight and it's devastating results. >Dimitri:........And we damned the future. >Edmund: Not.....fully. Knuckles will endure. Our blood will continue. Our history.....that's another story. >Dimitri: At least....at least one will carry on. And what it's worth, I'm SORRY, dear brother. >Edmund: I forgave you, centuries ago. But in turn, I'm sorry. For not being on your side more.
>>141716173 I genuinely think this is a great part of Eggman is that HE has to be the one to beat Sonic, that because of his massive ego he has to win the way he wants, i genuinely think that’s another great aspect of his character
>>141715540 Had a gf like this. We broke up but still are good friends. We’ve been hanging out more recently, talking about the past so this is stupid but this story arc is kinda paralleling what’s happening between us rn. I guess I’ll see what happens soon.
On a side note, We are also both Sonic fans who ship Sonic and Sally.
>>141716223 >We are also both Sonic fans who ship Sonic and Sally. Hope you get her back anon, any girl autistic enough to follow this comic is a keeper.
>>141716173 >trying to prevent himself from kill-stealing ... Are we sure he's regained his sanity? I mean, considering this and his master plan, I kinda have my doubts.
>>141716308 This story moves really fast so don't expect to get a very coherent plot with proper pacing. Also this Shadow acts differently from the one in the show.
>>141716308 The handheld Boom games are 6/10 platformers obviously made for children and not much else. Much better then the god awful Wii U game though.
>>141716353 Chunky Knuckles. >>141716351 I'm getting way ahead in doing this comic now. It ultimately doesn't matter since this is a tie-in for the game.
>>141716379 >>141716356 To be honest there's nothing to this comic and it has nothing to do with the comic series. It's just being posted now as filler.
>>141716203 Yeah, I'll give IDW a win for that. Yeah, he COULD carpet bomb Sonic and all his friends, but to him, that's not the point. HE NEEDS Sonic to know how much he's lost. That's why he started losing his mind after everyone escaped the egg grapes.
>>141716308 Both the show and the comic were quite good. Just an all around solid sitcom.
>>141716339 Boom was such a weird prospect though. They were desperate to get some kind of Japanese audience, so they tried to make an American focused sub-series. But the they realized how fucking stupid that was and dicked over the studio working on it to pull the plug. Fucking Sega.
>>141716399 Its a classic case of too many ideas, only so much time and budget. Oh, and Sega being assholes who couldn't just let the devs work in peace.
>>141716376 If I recall Sega interviews from that time correctly, the idea was for Sonic Boom to be the headlining version of Sonic in the West, made to appeal westerners first and foremost, while Sega worked on getting "Legacy Sonic" back on track and maybe get him to appeal to Japan a bit more. Needless to say, they failed on ALL fronts.
>>141716375 He's just a "bad guy" with not much depth. Big snake with a mech torso. Yawn.
>>141716376 Boom was originally going to be an entire reboot of the Sonic franchise from top to bottom but when no one really took to it and the Boom series games were all mediocre to terrible Sega pulled the plug. The only good things to come out of Boom were the Archie comic and the cartoon's later episodes when they stopped caring.
>>141716172 >Dmitri: Knuckles...he'll carry on, you said? He'll carve his own future, his own story? >Edmund: Yes. He'll carry on our people's legacies and histories, even if he doesn't know it. Across time and space, Knuckles will continue the story, merging our past with his own. A living testament of Echidna culture no matter where he goes. >Dmitri: You always were good at grand speeches, Edmund. >Edmund: Writing thesis papers does that to you. >..... >Dmitri: In Paradise, everyone's there, right? Or at least, almost everyone. Aurora knows I've met with terrible people. >Edmund: Everyone from our family is there. Grandmother, Grandfather, Mother, Father, everyone is there. >Dmitri: Is it nice there? >Edmund: The sun always shines, there's no work to be done, and the rivers always flow with pure spring water. We're young again. We're free. >Dmitri: I'm...I'm scared. >Edmund: Of what? >Dmitri: The things I've done...the things I've seen. I don't think I'll ever join you all in Paradise. >Edmund: Where there's love in one's heart, there's always a chance for redemption. Grandfather used to say that, remember? One of his weird old sayings. >Edmund: I know you've made mistakes. But you're my brother, Dmitri. I know there's still good in you despite it all. This time, I'll stick with you. I won't leave you again. >Dmitri: Edmund, I...you'd do that? For me? >Edmund: Of course, brother. Mom always said we should stick together. >Dmitri: I hope I see her again when I get there. >Edmund: I promise you will. I love you, Dmitri >Dmitri: I love you too, Edmund. >The Wave hits. >Everything goes white. >The next we see Edmund and Dmitri, they are sitting at a table with their ancestors at a grand feast. Dmitri is whole and organic again, dressed in his best suit. >They sit side-by-side. >They're laughing together.
>>141716422 As opposed to the nothing ones in Boom? At least Frontiers ancients actually felt like something expanding Sonic’s setting for the first time in ages and had really fun designs
>>141716469 Friendly reminder that, had Penders got what he wanted and returned, he was going to go on a rampage, destroy everything Ian did, and make people "love Geoffrey again".
>>141714406 >Question Honestly wouldn't have been around for the Iron Dominon because the moment I would've found out that the city was sentient I would've noped the fuck out. Don't get me wrong I like Nicole but I find the thought of living in a fully sentient city that can know of my every whim creepy
>>141716488 See it’s the added implication, cause something is hidden it adds more to the imagination plus the presentation of the outfit can accentuate things
>>141716501 She drew Mina kind of thicc in this one for some reason. Lots of conflicting thoughts must be going in her head. Guess she has a literal hate boner.
Reminder that Mina, while not wrong about the nanites(even Nicole herself had been questioning if they were a liability), she is still a stupid asshole for committing slander, and not just talking this over with the FF. Also, for the sake of completeness, put two in Nagus' head.
>>141716434 It's a pretty fucked process >Game was originally a lot more serious and focused on the origins of Sonic and his friends and Eggman. Even had some swearing. >Sega than wanted stuff toned down and didn't want the game to focus on Sonic's origin story because they might've one day wanted to do that themselves. >Another story was made while still trying to keep its serious tone. >There was then this show that was pitched called “Sonic Boom” and Sega decided they wanted the show and the game to be one and the same and used to promote each other for the new brand of the franchise. >The game project got toned down even more and become more comedic. >The budget was also slashed and the game had to be reworked because Sega wanted it to be a Wii U exclusive. >The Sonic Boom game was then released and was a flop and critically panned. >The show only ran for 2 seasons. It was originally on Cartoon Network, but was quickly booted to Boomerang. >Boom brand was then discarded and forgotten. Honestly, I find it sad.
>>141716526 She's still a dumb bitch that decided to write a political upheaval anthem because she was scared of the AI hologram girl and was flabbergasted when people in town were having arguments about the AI hologram girl.
>>141716657 >Sega didn't want the game to focus on [insert literally anything here] because they might've one day wanted to do that themselves. Starting to notice they say that a lot, and that it sounds like a lie, since they never actually do it themselves. Pricks.
>>141716682 Most realistic part of her character. Stupid celebrity makes a hot political take, then gets surprised when they learns not everyone shares their opinion.
>>141716722 I dont anyone did, not even Pender defenders. But you know in his delusion mindscape Geoffrey was ba hero to the masses getting slander against by Ian.
>>141716701 I think it's the same reason why they don't want Silver's future shown in any other media or have Eggman Nega touched. They're like "We'll do it ourselves first" and they never actually do it.
>>141716722 Geoffrey during the start of his inclusion in the comic was so blatantly just Penders' self insert character that it was kinda insulting. It took other writers for him to be any kind of interesting.
>>141716834 I remember anons going on about this back when Nicole was just a PDA. But technically everyone does have a Nicole because they technically live inside her via their nanite homes.
>>141716786 >>141716809 Between this and the spongebath scene with Mecha Sally in Sonic Retold I think Glitcher has a fetish for girls being degraded and violated by ugly bastard robotnik.
>>141716498 >love Geoffrey again Maybe in Bizzaro world sadly that dumb skunk has done too many stupid this no one likes him I'm sure they'd have Hershey break up with him just to spite Penders.
>>141717055 so did Hershey die and Ian just never get around to telling the story? I'm not 100% knowledgeable on Lost Hedgehog Tales and Bumblekast lore
>>141716498 Ian’s run is the only time I actually liked Geoffrey. He’s a dick but this time it’s intentional. His redesign looks great. Plus he’s not completely one dimensional, he does have some regrets over what he’s doing.
>>141717036 Don't forget the scene where Eggman rips Mecha Sally apart until she's just a head and her vitals almost flatline from the ordeal. Or the part where she kills her father and oil leaks from her eyes from it. If Glitcher ever gets back to the comic, Sally's going to come out of that a mindbroken wreck. ASO Sally is already a mess and New 252 Sally also had a breakdown.
Reminder that Sally actually cried when Nicole had to turn off her holo-avatar for a few hours. Again, it weren't much of a stretch.
>>141717384 He's weirdly similar to Bendis that way. Bad writer, but somehow manages to put out decent ideas that other writers inevitably do better things with.
>>141717182 >>141717195 >>141717230 Yeah, Ian's wife confirmed years ago that Hershey was essentially replaced by Leeta and Lyco. She was supposed to be in deep cover, meet up with Sonic, get told about Geoffrey and head back to New Mobotropolis to join the Secret Freedom Fighters and confront her husband for what he'd done. It's not fully known why she was cut but it's generally assumed to be an early sign of the legal troubles (why her out of all Penders characters is anyone's guess). So her part of the story had to be rewritten for the literal who wolf twins, can't have Geoffrey confront his wife anymore, but Ian still wanted to salvage the idea of her being undercover, hence that small cameo. But the Pendering hit in full and none of it mattered.
>>141717557 Haven't been on The Ride before but I'm guessing Shard is a character that appears post-SGW? Isn't he a rebuilt version of that one talkative Metal Sonic that died in the volcano?
>>141717695 It's especially obnoxious because we saw earlier that Nicole would actually agree that this is an issue that needs to be dealt with. She was talking to Rotor about how she feels immense guilt over the debacle, and is scared of using the nanites unless absolutely necessary. If dumbass had gone to the FF and talked to them about it, Nicole herself would be the first to agree with her complaint.
>>141717834 Yeah, imagine how extremely fucked the people of Knothole would be if Nicole wasn't around. The lack of gratitude is so fucking galling. These twats conveniently forgot that she saved all of their lives.
