He only came to this universe because he was treating it like the NG+ in a videogame and thought hed toy with them for a bit before crushign them all with ease. I see them as an ideal ship. In ann ideal scenario, Amy eventually gets a clue and stops bothering Sonic. But the two remain friends. Sonic gets with Sally.

Amy also remains friends with a non-complete DeviantArt edgelord Shadow, who begins to become more open towards her. After all, Amy was the one who helped Shadow with his memories in SA2. Over time, they become more than just friends, and share their interests with each other. Amy helps Shadow learn further about how it is like to live on Mobius.

And now that she is mature, Amy isn’t bothersome or annoying towards Shadow. She is respective of his personal boundaries and very kind and caring towards him. Shadow may have moved on from his traumatic experiences but PTSD is likely an issue. Amy would be there to comfort Shadow and to encourage him to get help as soon as possible, whenever they aren’t busy fighting off Robotnik and his armies.

Shadow in turn, is a very caring and supportive partner for Amy, and will do anything to protect her. Excellent teamwork between the both of them and respect for one another. He may not always know how to exactly express his love with words, but he makes quite an effort. This is exactly what Amy needs. She tried to find someone to support and love her through Sonic, failed because she was way too immature and weird. But now, she’s ready for someone, and Shadow is just the man he needs.

And fuck yes, they would be an excellent duo in battle. Just imagine it
