Archie Shadow is a pretty solid character, and not nearly as much of a jobber as people like to call him out as. He got punked by ADAM and Lara-Su, sure, but he wastes a shitton of Metal Sonics, kicks some serious alien ass in Shadow Fall, fights Knuckles to a standstill even while Eclipse is nerfing him, etc.

The first one has some good moments with the worst parts having been removed. The backstory with Longclaw is probably the best aspect of it.

Eh. Nicole does become a major character pretty quickly after becoming a lynx, but I wouldn't say it ever goes that far.
