I don't really think any comic should be contingent on the presence of the main villain. And frankly, I'm kinda getting tired of the guy, especially the fanbase insists on constantly sucking his dick. If Eggman fucked off for a while, I wouldn't complain.

Something I found when looking up this issue.
>The plot of this issue was initially supposed to mark the beginning of a new long-term story arc, in which it would be revealed that the Sally Sonic revived in the previous issue's ending was a robot duplicate (in turn revealing that it was she who planted the dream device on Sonic in this story), and that the real Sally was indeed dead. It was Sega, however, who decided that she would survive. So the arc was abandoned.

Rotor is fun, so far.

In terms of him, he's like Sonic's older brother. That's kind of present in the DiC cartoon as well. As for his voice, I always imagined him with a more whimsical, Chumley-esque voice, but he sounds more "hip" in the actual cartoon.
