Tumblr. Simply because all the alternatives right now are fucking shit.

>Sonic and the Freedom Fighters Note: (This note is mostly for other places like Deviantart and Twi— X) I find it amusing that so many people in the Sonic fandom love suffering and have made drastically different AUs to make it happen when Archie has everything you need and barely any of it would be out of place. An evil alternate universe version of Antoine poisoned and killed Antoine’s father. The original Robotnik died and was replaced with an alternate universe version of him that became a computer virus that nuked all of Mobius, killing everyone, and came to the main Archie universe because he wanted to win all over again. He later became Eggman. Charmy’s people got wiped out by Eggman. Then he got brain damage. And then his fiancée got forever banished to another dimension along with every echidna not named Knuckles. If you want suffering along with some very weird and uneven writing then check out Archie. Oh, and Metal Virus was originally intended for Archie.

The art is great, which is natural given who the artist is, but even if KE had some input in the story, I think the main writer is not very good at their job.

It's not an ambitious comic. Everyone is hanging out and then a fight breaks out and they beat them and win. For me the highlight was the interactions with all the characters. The OC villains served as punching bags and didn't take over the story like some comics like to do. I didn't see any glaring problems with the writing.

Compare other comics, like Hangin Out, whose character interactions left a huge impression, at least on me.
Maybe my issue is a lack of ambition? Maybe they played it too safe for a first volume? (Though I don't know if I would call Hangin Out ambitious, either)

The whole point is simply character interaction and funny shenanigans - it is not trying to be high literature nor should it be. Literally all the fanbase wants are these characters interacting with each other more and that's it.

Comparing it to Hangin Out is also sort of pointless. Hangin Out revels in sheer absurdity and being an AU that Hydroxian can add literally anything to, like Vanilla being a 1000+ year old vampire. In comparison, Unity is very normal and 'grounded' for lack of a better term. It's basically just the characters being the Mystery Gang and doing whatever.

Seems like you ignored everything about my post except the part you greentexted. I gave my reasons. I found it enjoyable and I don't have any major complaints with it. In case you forgot I'll state it again. I like the art, the writing is solid, I wasn't bored, and I overall had fun reading it.
