And like half the time exactly like modern-ish Mario games you'd have random acts that just didn't match the specific zone at all like the underwater tube act in Lava Mountain or the random candy act in Desert Ruins, even the random casino themed acts in Frozen Factory. At least in Tropical Beach it made semi-sense to have the tubes.
