The thesis here, is that on artist's end, it's gonna be tough sexualizing PROPERLY a mobian. At least, that's what I imagine. Mobians are "naked" for the most part, their legs aren't spacious enough to compose a butt, slapping a cock into a mobian is gonna look more humoristic than believable, and it's difficult to pass off the impression you might break their noodle limbs with ease. Sonic is all cartoony, no realism. Consequently, smut fan creatives are more prone to go on off-model route over making a lanky base to seem tolerable on minimum. For a good example, look no further than Sally as drawn by Butler in plenty of Archie issues. Hope my point is transparent now!

Coincidentally, I also know an artist who does funds great drawings of good looking shorty and cartoony, while sexy mobians as we all love and cherish: spectral-bat. On the second thought, I don't think the point would really herald for male or female characters, as the former can look just as provoking despite within on-model. Admittedly, I find Rotor (soft and pre-boot) and other Archie mobian hunks really hot in most their respective issues, so I'm definitely in the wrong. Certainly, all about hitting the sweetspot of style.

I'm gay, but even so, Sally does look sexy as she's meant, like Rouge, even for the times she's more aligned to shorty proportions and noodle limbs, yeah.
