I like him. It's an unpopular opinion around these parts but honestly I like most of the IDW cast, and the ones I don't I don't really mind.

I'm always a sucker for Eggman cocksuckers. Him, Thunderbolt, Stone, they're all great. It was nice seeing him going solo for a while, being allowed to do some cool stuff on his own while at the same time showing that he grossly underestimated Eggman and the other game characters. I've seen a lot of weird people whine that he got too much of the spotlight and too many chances to shine, but then again he's a character exclusive to the comics, he wasn't going to appear anywhere else so it makes sense as to why the staff did as most as they could with him before killing him off.

As to whether or not I hope he returns, ehh IDK. His story has been told and IIRC Flynn is done with him, but that's just one writer from many in the staff, and you know the rule: no body = not really dead. Hell, before he found out that Surge was still alive, he literally rushed off to go help them thinking they were fighting somebody that they'd need his help with.
