I've grown used to it, but I've likewise grown used to all of the other characters only existing in the background more or less. Not as playable options for the player. At least with Amy, shipping her with Sonic gives them (and the fans) an excuse to use her more.

I want to hope that Frontiers having Amy, Knuckles, and Tails try and strike out on their own in adventures separate from Sonic will be used as an excuse to give them spinoffs or tie-ins of their own. But I doubt that will happen.
