Personally, I'd love to see more stuff where Shadow encounters Silver in the future. Shadow's immortality makes him the one character who can live to see the distant future that Silver comes from. As shitty as the Sonic'06 game was, teaming up the grumpy hedgehog with the idiot hedgehog seemed like a fun idea. (Pity the game's ending makes it really difficult to know how to do further stories about Silver, or Blaze, or Mephiles, or any story elements from the game.)
It was a nice surprise that one of the comics in this thread did make use of Shadow's immortality and had him show up in the future.
