A rewrite of Archie issues 86 and 87, aka the origin story of everyone’s favorite wisecracking Metal Sonic. Takes the original story and adds depth, intrigue, characterization, and stakes. The characters feel like they’re genuinely in danger and the expanded plot takes the time to explore how Metal works around his programming. Art’s nice too, even if the colors go ‘minimalistic’ towards the end.
Once upon a time, there was another Metal Sonic. This one was beaten, trashed, and forgotten by everyone, even Robotnik. But what if this Metal Sonic continued to function? Can a robot become something more than what he was programmed to do? Let’s find out in an expanded recreation of an Archie story. This is Heart of the Hedgehog!
Heart of the Hedgehog! We covered some of chapter 3 already last time but we’ll do the whole thing. Long story short, the original Metal Sonic from Sonic CD, has kidnapped Tails and challenges Sonic to a race. There’s traps and this Metal can morph parts of his body. And he’s got a mouth on par with Sonic’s.
