Mega Man #45-48 No good deed goes unpunished and Wily is ready to give the Light family a good paddling! Mega Man has to save his family and the world but in order to do that he’ll have to fight his big brother, Blues! And that’s just the start because there’s a whole Wily fortress to brave through, an all-in-one robot master to fight, and an unstoppable robotic force of nature to deal with in Gamma! Someone’s not walking away from this encounter!
Question: While he’s not the most evil mad scientist we’ve covered, is Wily too dangerous to be allowed to live? If he was defeated, what should be done with him?
>>142442756 >this cover Poor Rock. This is what he gets for having the audacity to believe in people. MM7 would've gone so hard.
>Question: While he’s not the most evil mad scientist we’ve covered, is Wily too dangerous to be allowed to live? If he was defeated, what should be done with him? Even leaving aside the timeline, I say put the rabid dog down. He just refuses to fucking STOP.
>>142442756 > Question: While he’s not the most evil mad scientist we’ve covered, is Wily too dangerous to be allowed to live? If he was defeated, what should be done with him? Send the guy to therapy to sort out his envy issues and victim/inferiority complex
>>142442880 >roll will never call you daddy Also, KILL HIM, LIGHT! NOW'S YOUR CHANCE! >>142442852 But they're more than roommates. They're a couple... of scientists.
>>142442880 >Always talking about how smart he is while stealing Light's robot Bag, Light wouldn’t have gotten anywhere if he wasn’t standing on the shoulders of a giant - Wily!
>>142442955 This page endorsed by Bomb Man, Crash Man, and (if he's already created) Grenade Man. >>142442951 >She isn’t even a real child. Will that hold up in court?
>>142442903 >Daddy? Aw! I love when the kids directly refer to him as their father. Again, the best part of this book is the emphasis on how the Lights are a family.
>>142442970 >wily: what makes you think i killed light? it's not like i'd drop him from a flying fortress to his death or anything? now if you'll excuse me, i've got some eggs to smash!
>>142442989 The fucking balls on Wily to take offense at the implication that he killed someone. The sheer amount of damage he's caused, even before the Ra Moon debacle. Fuck you, Albert.
>>142443062 It's kinda fucked up but in truth for all his hard work to make the world a better place, Wily and by extention, Sigma & Weil undermined the shit of his hopes & dreams. Poor bastard.
>>142443009 >>142443032 ... I don't have the heart to tell him it's only going to get much MUCH worse. The Mega Man franchise is kind of a depressing nightmare.
>>142443134 >He won't try to kill anyone but if they die for some reason then whoops! Cliche as it may be to say, at least Eggman is honest about being a piece of shit.
>>142443185 >Just keep going until you're an empty husk! There's like three separate apocalypses for fuck sake!
>>142443414 Slick move, Blues! Hiding around the corner and running out to shoot! >>142443411 He's that one person that says everyone owes him sex. Instead it's recognition so it's justified.
Do you agree that Archie Sonic has character development throughout Flynn's run of preboot? I think he did, but have no evidence of it. A big moment where it happened was House of Cards.
>>142443385 >>142443395 Again, he's a dumb, angsty teen. This is why Stern is written to have good points. Making synthetic people comes with the drawback of them being, well, people.
>>142443463 >I don't simulate emotions like you advanced robots do. Wtf? I could've sworn Auto was Rock's biggest cheerleader several issues ago. That takes emotion.
>>142443569 Just take the L and make up you piss baby. >>142443520 Auto is helpful, cheers for Rock, and has the best rape face on Earth. Anything aside from that is too much for him.
>>142443444 Yeah, he was learning to be a more responsible leader during the Mecha Sally arc. In general, there was a sense that Sonic was coming to appreciate how his actions and cocky attitude affected others. The fight with Tails, accidentally inspiring Scourge to be a worse villain, driving Eggman insane, needing to step up when the FF disbanded, these were all things that gave him pause.
>>142443616 A compliment? Eh, it's a start. >>142443611 He's so focused on a perceived injustice done to him that he's unable to see that it was never like that.
>>142443701 Of course. And he's going to appeal to the bara enjoyers. >>142443674 Imagine Blues reading this post and getting even more jealous of Rock.
>>142443676 again, this feels like endgame styled writing, like if the book kept going after this even with all those unresolved plot points it would feel self indulgent because they are really stressing this is the LAST SHOT both sides have in this story
>>142443859 I don't think that was the plan. Blues knew Wily was alive and Cossack would have known too. There was also the Mega Man Killers arc where Wily would have appeared in person.
>>142443869 I think >>142443859 has the right idea. It'd be super interesting too for the heroes to be unaware that he's still around for two whole games. Wily could just erase Blue's memory or something.
>>142443923 They could easily just have Wily not reveal himself to Cossack and have him make threats anonymously. As for Blues I dunno, he could just be a stubborn prick and not go home to tell them
>>142443876 >fighting games >Roll is Mega Man's little sister. She is a robot designed by Dr. Light, and was not designed for fighting. Thus she holds the distinction of being the worst character in Marvel vs Capcom 2, owning her own special lowly "Roll Tier" in the Marvel tiers. "You can't spell Roll without lol." -Brandon W.P. >Embarrassingly awful. Was this a joke character?
>>142444029 No! Less talking, more victory! Y'know, people often feel sorry for Bubble Man because he's infamously a jobber, but he's such a gaping asshole, that it's hard to sympathize with him.
And as others have said, poor Wood Man. He's the only one of the original DWNs who has any chill.
>>142444063 >>142444080 Funny how Classic is supposed to be the more lighthearted MM series. And yet here we are, with our child protagonist having to mercy kill his enemies.
>>142444340 Makes sense, Gamma is supposed to be a crisis relief unit. Mass rescue, subverting natural disasters, etc. One imagines the design is to put people at ease as they're being saved by a big toy robot.
>>142444421 Gamma was built to handle natural disasters, but not Wily's control module. That SHOULD be a weakness. The comic is weirdly treating it like it was always part of Gamma's design. Like here >>142443079
>>142444503 Goofy looking motherfucker causing all sorts of damage. >>142444495 Yeah I'm thinking it's a detail the artist didn't think about when drawing some panels.
>>142443119 Yep, shit never got this bad in Battle Network. He sealed Alpha away right quick, but in that whole debacle Bass.EXE would be blamed and nearly killed, gaining a hatred of humanity and helping Wily unleashed Alpha again.
>>142443594 Say all y’all want about Archie Sonic but Archie Mega Man is a kino series through and through. I’m still a huge sucker for and love the former though but I honestly have no complaints for these Megaman comics. These personal moments are also some of my favorite highlights. I’m surprised that this stuff doesn’t get a lot of love or attention.
Or maybe I’m missing something since I’m not too familiar with other Mega Man media. Either way, this has been a great read.
One thing I've never gotten about 3 is why Blues is unmasked in the robot master stages but masks up and tires to be "Break Man" during your final fight with him. Wouldn't it make more sense to unmask in the last fight?
>>142444808 Next issue is the one right before Worlds Unite! But before we do the lead in comics, we have Sonic Boom to do! Two days worth along with some other stuff. Tomorrow at 7pm EST!
>>142444774 >Or maybe I’m missing something since I’m not too familiar with other Mega Man media. I you want some more brotherly love, Battle Network has you covered.
>>142444768 Goddamn Madam Y! The deepest possible cut. She's not even from the games, but a piece of Ishikawa pitch artwork. The same one as Waltz, incidentally. The absolute balls on Flynn here. And Capcom apparently didn't object, which is even more impressive.
>>142444774 It's weird to me this comic gets such a bad rap for being a "lets play comic". Even though it follows the games pretty closely, I never felt like it was hampered by its faithfulness outside of the rushed MM2 arc. This whole MM3 plot was great from start to finish.
>>142443032 >I just handed the most powerful piece of machinery in the world to a madman completely devoid of any scruples! Ah, the Lockheed-Martin Contract went through.
>>142444867 For all the deserved bullshit Capcom gets, they're the first ones to reuse/rework an old concept. Fuck, Final Fight and Devil May Cry were reworked from being sequels for Street Fighter & Resident Evil respectively.
>>142444881 I think it's only a problem up to the MM2 arc which I just chalk up to the first 2 games not having a ton to work with, after that the comic kind of comes into its own
I guess I overlooked that, in the comic's continuity, Auto was created by Dr. Light. Besides that, I always assumed he was as expressive as the Robot Masters, but he's apparently not. Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed but it's okay. In the game continuity, he wasn't invented by Dr. Light and isn't a Robot Master necessarily, but a mysterious apprentice of Light. Either way, he's been a trooper, so I think he deserves to be simped for tonight!
>>142444910 >Samus >tfw Archie approached Nintendo with pitches, including one for a Metroid comic >Nintendo said no, but Capcom said yes ... I'll be brutally honest. As much as I love the Mega Man comic, I'd trade it for a Metroid book in a heartbeat.
>>142445055 I actually think they've gotten less strict these last few years, but the comic pitch was back in 2010, they would have been a nightmare to work with. In a way, it's a good thing that they just replied honestly that they weren't interested in licensing any comics.
>>142445055 They're strict, but nowhere near as psychotically bad as Sega. Especially nowadays where they've finally just accepted that Metroid is functionally a western IP.
>>142444969 >or was it because the artist was a lolicon artist? It seems to be this. Which is odd because many other Japanese artists have done porn before and have worked on media aimed at children.
>>142445123 >Power Stone isn't in the roster of Capcom series picked out for Worlds Unite >Despite also having Skies of Arcadia so they can rep the Dreamcast on both sides
Just another on the list of massive disappointments of Worlds Unite
Considering Metroid typically has minimal dialogue, it'd be interesting to see how either Flynn or Butler would handle it. I feel like Butler, being more of an artist, would be better suited since body language is vital.
>>142445259 Especially since there's so much background lore to draw from. Personally, I would love a filler arc about Samus battling Miteralis, the sentient plague.
>>142445114 You'd think Sega would do the same for Sonic at this point. >every Sonic cartoon with the exception of one were all made by Western companies (the OVA was just a three part special) >the Sonic Manga died sometime after Sonic 3 came out. Meanwhile, the UK makes a well liked comic series and the US based Archie makes an even BIGGER one that dam near lasted over 500 issues >Paramount, another western company, make two highly successful movies, making their own canon with elements from the games, with a tv show and a third movie coming soon Hell, just looking at gaming Sega really doesn't have much to offer Western kids, Yakuza and SMT/Persona are all rated M, and Monkey Ball just limps along now, with every other IP they have that's aimed at a general/kid audience dead in the water.
>>142445337 >Crazy Taxi, Golden Axe, Jet Set Radio, Shinobi, Streets of Rage Yep, Shinobi went the Rated M route though. Here's to the others actually being good and getting games on the regular and not being put on life support after this one new game... just like they did with NiGHTS.
Something I noticed about Mega Man X designs is the (white) opera glove aesthetic, where the hands of a majority of characters, including Mavericks, are stylistically like opera gloves, usually white, but coming in a variety of colors throughout the series. Just something I noticed.
>>142445814 I actually need to spend less money on art but do want to order more Sonally smut once get through with Mordred banging her orders, had to cancel probably my biggest smut comm cause just to much and artist suggested as much with how long progress was going
>>142445908 Well did have the idea of them banging while bound in megamuck or perhaps stuff with the alternate versions like Saleta or her in the black Dress
>>142445923 >Sally: I kinda envy you. Don't get wrong, I love my team but Shadow is incredibly professional. And Omega is is very efficient. >Rouge just starts laughing >Sally:......something I said? >Rouge: Oh, ha ha, I'm sorry. You was serious. First off, that's adorable that you think my boys are so "great" and two, the last time I left them to their devices, we lost a City Block.
>>142445973 In what world is 528 pictures and animations a minority? Plus i’m more annoyed by the effort put into it since it’s way to good for what it is depicting but whatever, i’ve bitched about this enough a year ago and no new ground to cover
>>142446044 First time whined in ages honestly, but fair enough don’t want to make a habit like certain schizo. What sorta stuff you like smut wise since on topic or not your thing?
What's the best way to play the classic Mega Man games? I keep hearing the legacy collection but also some preferring a thing called complete works. what should I choose
>>142446058 I mean of course, I'm not expecting them to just start making their own Mobuis Megamix, I just want the bare minimum of animal people and humans on screen together in one story
>>142446198 OK cool >>142446215 Joe sold me on the idea years ago and alway continually disapointed me how the groups are largey separated. Being together is cool for background stuff
>>142446245 It honestly makes the series look more unique. I'm convinced Sega never tried till now because they didn't want to bother coming up with NPC mobians that were distinct but not too distinct to stand next to our main cast
>>142446310 Probably. Forces ocs are probably that super generic ones they wanted. bit too generic if you ask me but whatever. hope that art is a start to truly showing both interacting
>>142446408 >Rock has never gotten an erection before >didn’t know that was part of his program, or what it’s meant for, or if it’s a bug, or why he keeps wanting to stare at Samus >even worse is that his robotmaster tights do absolutely nothing to hide the tent from Samus >worst of all is that she keeps trying to goad it into happening on purpose
>>142443032 Light, you can be positive, but you also need to understand that not everyone can be helped. Shit, you told Rock that back in the second arc.
>>142445055 Given we're talking post Live Action SMB movie, they'd be really fucking strict. Probably wouldn't allow any non-game characters and probably be pretty strict on what sort of things Samus could and couldn't do.
This is almost like a safe space for Ian fans here. Except occasionally there's not much arguments about him here. The rest of 4chan is a completely different environment for us.
>>142444294 It's also weird that Wily never thought to bring back any of his Fortress Bosses for the fight. Sigma remembers to do that in Worlds Unite.
>>142444557 >>142444583 I remember Ian saying that he had a more elaborate way to end the fight, but time and lack of pages forced him to do it this way.
>>142444956 >>142445020 I like the fan theory that Light rebuilt Auto into the robot that guards the body armor Capsule in the first X game as a test for X.
>>142442756 >Question He should be sentenced to hard labor building me sexbots >>142442776 >LOL I FORGOT THE THREAD NAME YOU MONSTER! YOU'RE RUINING MY PRETTY THREAD TABLES ON THE WEBSITE! >>142442809 Break Man, more like Pecs Man amirite? >>142442987 lmao >>142443052 ;_; >>142443118 The sassy butler/mechanic >>142443185 >So... those are artificial guts... right? Still would!
>>142443308 So cool! >>142443362 >You made this? ... I made this. Damn, that's 100% Wiley >>142443395 He really is! >>142443503 >I bet light watches steven universe Light's just Steven but old >>142443724 >Of course. And he's going to appeal to the bara enjoyers. It needs a face to be hot
>>142445086 We may joke about how horny he is but he's a seriously talented artist >>142445181 Brotherhood's twist is absolute kino >>142445581 lmao >>142446042 Looks like! There's clearly a at least two background Mobians in the crowd there Oh man, that Werehog in the speedo. Plap fucking plap! >>142446215 >those two twinks get to have fun with Kodos It's not fair ;_;
>>142444837 Thanks Conductor >Worlds Unite so soon Woah whiplash >Sonic Boom comic Oh fun! Shame it was so short but it basically just let Ian go full meta irony which was amusing.
