Have them be the feature for a brand new Sonic Hybrid Action/Tactics RPG. Honestly, an RPG is the best style of game for The FF because at their heart, they're not meant to be characters defined by action features; they're defined by the narrative. You can make a stand alone RPG that can loosely abridged most of their important (and infamous) arcs so people can get the gist of what made these characters so beloved - but if nobody likes them, they can just be one and done cast like Chip or Tikal.
I can sort of see the FF working with an Advance style 2D game where you can experiment with different ways of going through a traditional Sonic level, but it's hard for me to picture Sally & The Gang working for 3D Sonic outside a cameo.
Maybe Bunny or Antoine can be DLC for Modern Sonic.

It's pointless to delete a DA over AI, every fucking website is scraped by AIslop regardless, just take a look at artstation lol. It legit doesn't matter if you delete and move accounts because the AIshit is everywhere. It does nothing in the longrun.

Pontaff got this warm welcome as well when they first started, but when everyone stopped liking Pontaff, Ian was, again, a breath of fresh air. But his writing has never been great. The best writing he's done has been for either OCs or preboot Archie when he was allowed to do whatever he wanted with the SEGA cast, and even then, it wasn't necessarily that he was writing the characters better than SEGA was, it's just that the comics had a certain appeal. I can't explain it, but even if you didn't like the storylines of preboot Archie, there was a fascination with seeing where this official Sonic product would go next, it was so different and unique compared to what we were used to.

He has gotten better at accepting he'll never write the SEGA cast the way he wants to (IE not trying to go halfway with it and instead leaning entirely into SEGA's desires), but that's about it.
