Back to Light Mobius and five years later! Sonic has rebuilt his family (PLAP! PLAP! PLAP!) and reclaimed his title as king. Lara-Su is a full-time guardian and part-time babysitter. DESU it was more interesting when Ian turned it into an Evil Shadow AU.
This SU arc kind of undoes anything interesting about it. It's not Penders slice of life garbage, but it's not very interesting either. The King Shadow story had me more engrossed with just 20 pages than 30YL's full 4 issues.

Light Mobius sucks. Sonic did absolutely nothing to warrant the amount of suffering he went through. Shadow is massively out of character and jobs to some Penders OC. Tails marrying Mina made no sense. Most game characters like Amy and Rouge are nowhere to be seen because the Satam cast has to take priority at all times.

This story was less good than the previous 30YL one, but still pretty decent. Again, the weak link is King Shadow. But it's always nice to see Lara-Su. And we got Melody out f this one, s that definitely made it worthwhile.

Yardley really did revitalize this comic alongside Ian. I'd say when most people think of the Sonic Archie comic they think of this post-#160 era.
One thing I really wished happened more often was Diana Skelly doing more pencil work. Her style is like Yardley's but with the goofy turned up 5x, and also that Jon Gray did more.
