Or better yet, he should've made a backup story where Amadeus goes learning about all the things that have gone on with the royal family while he's been off with the Bem. Max's deal with Naugus, Max being replaced with a robot double, Max attempting to kill the entire roboticized population, the fact that the royal family has taken direction from a sentient piss pool for generations, revoking Sonic's knighthood and putting him under house arrest, Station Square's nuking of the old Mobotropolis, Sally endangering the unity of the Mobians with her relationship issues, Elias coming from nowhere to take the throne, an evil Antoine doppelganger almost seizing the throne for himself, all that nonsense about how often and consistently the Acorn royal family has nearly screwed over all of Mobius. It's stuff we as longtime readers know, but it'd be great if those were explicitly brought up as reasons for Amadeus's actions. It'd be more thought-out than just blaming them for Robotnik's continued attacks.
