Everything in this strip is so rushed and emotionless. Sonic sheds a single tear for fake-Tails and moves on. Zan the Domestic Abuse Dragon is introduced and killed in a single issue. Every issue is divided into short stories that don't really go anywhere.

The opposite extreme, where it takes Sonic six issues to scratch his ass (*cough* IDW *cough*) is obviously not desirable either, but you can't get invested in these stories because they go nowhere fast.
