Chaotix was once non-canon, but now it is. The manuals for the Game Gear games suggest that those games were actually a separate continuity, but now they aren't (based on Triple Trouble being referenced). Classic Sonic was said in Forces to be from another dimension indicating (at best, given Sega separating the Classic and Modern brands) that Generations created a split timeline and Classic Sonic was now from a different dimension. So no, Tailstube does not disprove "Two Worlds" being literal, it suggests that if the idea did indeed exist (which, based on Forces and the comic that spun out of it, it did), it no longer applies.
