Today is not only a Twi— X thread but also a half and half thread. That means that this thread may be short but there’s more to be found in the other thread elsewhere. And I have a couple interesting comics to cover over there. But let’s start here with a comic that’s been in the making for a while. There’s only a couple covers and four pages and a video that’s over on the site but I swear there was more to this. Oh well, this is Sonic Reminiscing!

Question: What infamous Sonic thing do you like? What popular Sonic thing do you dislike? You can answer either one or both.

Sonic and the Freedom Fighters Note: Sonic is the most fun character to write and being able to use crude humor that a teenager would come up with makes it better. Sonic has a dirty mind and has no problem dropping four letter words every once in a while. No f-bombs though. He has a filter and it’s best to not know everything that goes on in his mind.

Also, last thread had an update for Cute Silver Comic, Scourge Eternal Blackout, and The Heart of a Monster. Check the OP of the last thread for posts replying to it.

Technically everything is infamous, but I get what you mean. I will always maintain that Elise did nothing wrong, and could've been saved if not for the terrible script that does not do anything substantial with her solid concept.

Here's a piping hot nuclear take. Eggman. I find him deep overrated, especially when people start getting almost cultishly up in arms when you dare express that he's a bit one-note. It's one of the reasons I like Sage and the Egg Family so much, cause it gives the guy some dimensions for once. Frontiers is the first time I was even remotely interested in Ivo's character.

genuinely love the Chaos emeralds from Space and Chaos/Chao being descended from Aliens, I just think it's a really fun addition to the setting and if they did the Archie Sonic goes to space arc now it'd be a lot better with all the now canon alien species n stuff we have in the games, also I like Sonic actually having a sex drive/interest in woman/romance, I'm just a sucker for that and it sorta helped mature him a bit though did not like when they used it for drama, it's better for character interaction

I do wonder if IDW could have worldbuilding that even Sega can't oppose. Going off of what's already in the comic there are various villages and cities. There should be actual factions and groups. It feels like Clutch works by himself with the occasional hired help. Reboot Archie used a lot of locations from various games and while Sega won't allow a lot of stuff from classic era, would that extend to zones that could be turned into towns and locations? IDW really needs someone that can work with the mandates and flesh out the world. Assuming IDW survives the year.

Maybe the reason Mighty stopped being associated with the Chaotix when they were reintroduced, other than Sonic Heroes only allowing three members to a team, was because he was the only member of the team who's warm blooded so the others kept complaining when he tried to turn the AC on in the summer.

I was waiting for OmegaSunBurst to complete his comic before posting it here, but he just announced he was no longer working on it, though he still wish to resume it, one day.

Art's too good. Too much time put into everything. It makes pages a slog. But if the art was rough and fast then it could keep up with the artist's thinking. That's what I get when I see all of this. A lot of thinking and doing what interests them. But making comic pages fucking sucks the longer it takes to make a page. I think a light novel would be more suited for them. Mostly text with some illustrations here and there. I can't believe there aren't any Sonic light novels.

Bean's problem is they have crippling unchecked ADHD and a fundamental inability to not make a billion fucking AU's instead of sticking to one thing, causing them to burnout much, MUCH faster than almost any other artist I'm aware of. This also swiftly leads to them resenting the thing they were doing art for, unceremoniously dropping it, then moving onto something else only to repeat the cycle. Which eventually culminates in them abandoning the account and all their fans to fuck off somewhere else where nobody knows them and they start the whole thing over.

The Reminiscing guy's biggest issue is that he's getting lost in an endless worldbuilding Spiral so these ideas aren't really being realized.
