Silver is my favorite character but I actually like how bittersweet his victories and life in general can be. It makes his undeterred hopeful outlook more impressive.

Varies. I put them in situations where they DO suffer, but depending on what I'm reading or interacting with, I may or may not like it. I've already forced that the sort of needless suffering of fics like Rediscovered Frontiers is tasteless to me. And In Due Time and Clean Slate had a lot that made me go "Nope". But despite all that, Im fine with TMOM (for the most part) and most other grimdark comics - so it really falls upon my tolerance for whatever is going on.

Honestly? It can result in some of the best stories if done well. But it require one important rule many writers tend to forget: at the end of it, the character must be in a better position than when they started. There's actually very little. I know Krazyelf has done a few pieces with him, but Bluralter is probably the only person to have ever made lewds using him almost exclusively. Other than that, he's up there for the lowest amount of actual quality lewd art of any Sonic character - his brothers have even less.

It might be saying something about people just not wanting to lewd the Wachowskis. But given all the fetish art of Tails, I'm not so sure.

It's not a huge loss but I wish I did save them when I had the chance. It was called Project Tarot and was an Amy fancomic that never came about. There was only character sheets and some other art. I at least saved this title image since it was done by someone else. Seemed interesting.

Hell, the general response when it was found out that Frontiers has lines implying that Sonic actually likes Amy back wasn't to react with any degree of positivity, but to literally throw tantrums over it or claim that Sonic doesn't like her or all sorts of unhinged spiteful bullshit over the mere idea that Sonic could like Amy. And the vast, vast majority of those people are the same sorts of people who either claim that Sonic is into Shadow or support that ship without problems. Even now, with stuff like Prime and even IDW leaning into Sonic being affectionate towards Amy, you're getting a LOT of hateful bullshit being thrown towards Sonamy and people who like it.
