I just think it's worse with Shadamy, both because it's obviously a substitute for Sonamy for people who detest Sonamy (and ironically fail to realize that they need to turn Shadow into Sonic for it to fucking work) and because they tend to push the whole "Amy convinced Shadow to spare Earth and remember his promise!" thing as though it were a love declaration towards Shadow and not just Amy trying to verbally slap some sense into the nutcase before he damned the planet she calls home.

You can see the exact same shit happening with Murder, despite Shadow not only not really giving a shit, but Amy proposing the "date" solely to make it up to him after accusing him so harshly - it's borderline a gesture of pity/token forgiveness. And on top of that, despite his relatively short screentime, Sonic ironically has better shipping fuel moments with Amy in the game. But lord knows that won't stop shippers.
