Yeah, this is a confusing one, even Ian's not 100% on things. The guy's called Doctor Ian Droid/ Doctor Ian Borg. The Borg part is a reference to when Robo-Robotnik (i.e., the Robotnic we had after the original died in Endgame) built himself a new robotic body out of a piece of the Giant Borg.

Pender's ultimate goal was to have (Robo-)Robotnik assemble all parts of the Giant Borg in his final plan to defeat the heroes. He'd eventually be defeated by Knuckles, as seen in Locke's vision (the one that inspires him to microwave the baby). While Knuckles would win, Robotnik would transfer into a new more powerful body and travel back in time to try again, this time with all his knowledge of the future. Assuming the role of Dr Droid, he'd usurp Eggman as the main villain. Also, he would've spent some time as Particle's nemesis too.

TLDR: Penders was going to replace Eggman with his own OC and would charge SEGA a license to use him in the comics/games

The artist did a challenge drawing one Silver with their left hand and another with their right. Then they made a comic about them both.

I had this artist bookmarked for some stuff. They had a couple comics and I was going to do them today or tomorrow. The first one was all in Russian and there was only a handful of pages and half the characters were replaced with OCs. The second one was a Sonic and Crash Bandicoot crossover but that was a boring chao race and Sonic and the others only showed up at the very end. This is all I got from that artist.
