More of a sporadic European/Christendom thing. (image related incomplete in places that celebrate it or have special cause to, see also: Patronages of Saint George)
Not really a holiday here as most businesses don't observe it and no bank holiday occurs. Scouts do a parade.
Places outside of Europe do know of it and observe it but I don't know if it's more of a Catholic thing than a Protestant thing in the Americas.
It's a part of why England, Genoa and Georgia have the same flags more or less and a part of why knights slaying dragons has persisted in fiction, coats of arms and war propaganda posters. Or maybe that's why it's persisted, because killing dragons is kool (apologies to any scalies, you're too fun to not vilify).
England does have its own special celebrations (including a powerful song, equal to its rivals as a national anthem candidate, if you ignore the obvious reasons as to why it cannot be) but outside of religious communities (and pseudo-religious like Scouts) you'll not really know what anyone does.
