Commentary: One of the biggest problems for the Archie comics was relationship drama. Sonic and Sally were always set up as a couple and it’s a pretty standard romance. The princess and the hero. The problem is that the relationship was played with way too much and it ends up making both of the characters look bad. Originally I was just fine with them being childhood friends that got close because of all the danger and just genuinely liking each other. The emotional support thing just strengthens that bond and provides a theme because all the members of the Freedom Fighters have some kind of trauma but it's nothing that takes over the story. They've mostly moved past it when the comic starts but you can still see it pop up from time to time. But everyone else is there to help when that happens.

Thanks, I'm really proud of it! I really wanted a place to showcase how creative the Sonic fandom is outside of romhacks and fangames (since there's sites that already do that). It was surprisingly easy to set up, considering I've never done web development before. It's really just a google spreadsheet that gets converted into markdown files for each comic, which are then read by the static site generator Hugo to create the website. It only takes a few seconds to go from the spreadsheet to the final product, the slow part's filling out the entries for each comic! I'm actually using the default theme, it's just become increasingly modified as I've added new features. It's not all me though, one of the anons did the logo and a few have been helping to fill out the spreadsheet and offering suggestions!
