This truly is the Berserk of Sonic fancomics

For anyone still confused, the big bad is a hybridized fusion of Black Arms DNA with the Phantom Ruby. In the Blue Prisoner continuity, Black Arms are apparently actual eldritch abominations, and Eggman's final scheme was to merge them with the Phantom Ruby to attain complete victory. All this really did though was just create an entity that is permanently bonded to the Ruby and can turn the Ruby's normally intangible effects (what the Ruby's power does IIRC is effectively trick your brain and body into believing the damage its illusions do is real) into actual reality. Then it broke out of his control.

Basically, Eggman tried to harness Hell again and finally fucked everyone over.

Blue Prisoner is right into the deep end of things already, with Forces' plot well underway. Blue Murderer is mostly an exploration of how this affects everyone in the 3 year aftermath for the first half, then it segues into full-blown cosmic horror after pulling you into a false sense of security. You could extend that logic to ALL versions of Tails though. The kid has killed with zero hesitation before and probably would continue doing so if Sonic wasn't there as a stabilizing force in his life.

Tails could become a monster worse than Eggman whenever if he didn't have his friends, especially Sonic. Likewise, without Tails, Sonic might do some reckless shit or go on a rampage himself. Silver might not recognize this to start with, but the two pretty much need each other.
