Yeah, it's a shame so many just see the gore and don't look any further. There's a lot of sweet moments between the characters and a fascinating look at trauma and what it can drive people to do. No character walks away unscathed, but they all handle their trauma in different ways. The art's also really good once you look past the magic marker coloring (not that I dislike the coloring).
