There's just so many webcomics that just stop before finishing, there's this very sobering whiplash to it, you're taken on this magical journey just so at the end you find out the artist, at best, ran out of energy and moved on with their lives or at worst they fucking died, drawing just takes too much time and effort out of one person

It does suck but with the exception of some, I've managed to more or less accept it. But the ones that are complete do feel so good. I also have a good amount of updating comics that I've been holding off. Sometime next week we'll do the ones that haven't updated in 2-3 months, as I wouldn't consider them updating anymore. A big problem is also just burnout. Artists spend so much time drawing with zero breaks asnd rest periods inbetween to just do what they want or draw inspiration from other sources that they end up growing to dislike or even outright hate the material, and that quickly leads to them just ceasing to work on it altogether. It's why you really should take it slow with these kinds of things unless you KNOW you can crank out a whole bunch of content in a short span of time.

Yeah, I see Rough and Tumble as IDW's answer to Sleet and Dingo, the same way Surge is to Scourge. I hope they get into Rough's tail at some point too, there's so many directions it could go. It's mostly mandates, which you can see with how he writes Shadow in preboot Archie vs the unironic violent retard that is IDW Shadow. Even Evan, who we KNOW can write a compelling narrative due to GOTF existing, writes in the same extensively stifled bland way. Hell, the Sonic movie Pre-Quill comic comes across as better than literally everything else Sonic-related by IDW because you can tell it's not being limited in the same way.
